There was something wrong and Caroline knew it. She could smell someone in her room the second she work up only moments ago, someone who she hoped very much was not Klaus. She didn't want to deal with him today. It was Valentine's Day. People were supposed to be happy today. Slowly, she opened her eyes.

Studying a picture on her dresser stood her very own hybrid boyfriend. His dark hair looked darker. His skin seemed to be tanner. She grinned, using her speed to jump at him and hug him. "Tyler! What are you doing here?"

"I came to see you," the hybrid answered. He cared her over to her bed, sitting down with her. "Please don't be mad at me though."

Caroline blinked in that innocent way of hers. "Why would I be mad?"

"I haven't broken the sire bond completely, so when Klaus called me up this morning, I didn't really have much choice but to obey."

"What?" Caroline asked in horror, jerking back from him. "What is he making you do?" she demanded.

"Surprisingly, he said I had to come spend the day with you and not to mess things up better you and I." The evil hybrid Original had done that... for her and her boyfriend? Maybe yelling at him at that ball was a good idea, she thought. "He also said something along the lines of treating you right and I think he mentioned something about having to find Rebekah. It almost sounded like he was talking to someone else on his end, but I didn't hear anyone. Weird, isn't it?" Caroline grinned, tackling her boyfriend.

"Who cares? As long as you don't bite me, we're good." She pursed her lips in concentration; "I did yell at him though that maybe people would like him if he'd actually be nice to them or something along the lines of that. Maybe he's taking some very good advice." Tyler frowned at that. When had Caroline been talking to Klaus? He voiced this to her. "His family had some stupid ball thing. He kept being annoying all night. I think now that his siblings are all back, he feels like he's at the bottom of the food chain and has to annoy someone to the point where stakes being shot in your brain is actually pretty welcome." Tyler blinked at the graphic description. "I'm just glad you're here. I've missed you."

Tyler kissed his girlfriend. She looked beautiful, even though she had just woke up. How did she manage to wake up and still look like a supermodel? "I've missed you too, Caroline."

"This is going to be an incredible Valentine's Day!" Caroline declared, kissing him again. So what if she had totally been Cinderella a few days ago. Klaus definitely wasn't her Prince Charming. If anything, it was Tyler, her faithful, loving werepire.
