Just One Explosion

Prologue

Ryouga sat in silence as he continued to contemplate his choices. Everything he had lived for the past two years had suddenly changed with just one explosion. What was he going to do now? The lost boy began to walk down a busy street, not really paying attention to where he was going.

'Things are so different.' Ryouga thought of all the changes that four months ago would seem utterly ridiculous. Now they just made sense. Well, to some people. Akane was marring Ranma in a few weeks. Shampoo was finally defeated by Mousse and they were happily expecting their first child in six months time. Kuno's unwanted attention shifted from Akane and Ranma to a very willing Nabiki. When questioned, Ryouga remembered, she said something about money and a lot of it.

Ryouga sighed as his thoughts drifted to Akari. For some reason, she and Konatsu had taken a liking to each other. Ryouga didn't even know how the hell they got to know each other so well. Then two weeks ago, the entire Narima wreaking crew joined forces to capture Kodachi- using Ranma as bait of course- and sending her to the nut-hatch.

Then there was Ukyo. Sure, in the past she had used him mercilessly to get Ranma, but she usually took his love of Akane into account. She had been considerate on that little detail of her normally crazy schemes. Ryouga frowned as he thought about Ukyo. He knew she had been pretending to be happy in public, but he knew better. In all the time they had spent together, he knew she must be suffering deep down. Of all the people who were devastated upon hearing Akane and Ranma's confessions of love to each other, Ryouga and Ukyo and taken it the hardest. He still couldn't remember what happened that night after he and Ukyo had got plastered. What the two had gathered from the interesting way they awoke the next morning, gave them both reasons to blush. They had decided never to discuss the incident. Ryouga stopped walking when he smelled the familiar sent of the best okanomiyaki in the world. He turned to realize he was in front of Ucchan's.

'Maybe I should check in and see how she's holding up.' He thought as he stepped into the restaurant.
