Jim Moriarty had seen so many different people die. He'd caused most of their deaths. But he'd never cared about their passing on before... but that was until he met Seb.
Sebastian Moran, the single best sniper in the entire world.
And Jim had hired him. Hired to him to be his permanent, personal sniper. But Jim had never realised that he would fall in love with him.
Love had never been present in Jim's life, but Seb changed all that.
When he was with Seb, Jim went from being a consulting criminal to being a consulting lover.
Oh, the sex was good, but Jim felt an attraction to Seb that ran much deeper than physical contact.
He felt... happy, when he was with Seb. Time flew, and the horrors of Jim's past seemed lost, and forgotten. The pain and cruelty which filled his childhood seemed nonexistent.
But then the day came.
Seb was sent out to shoot one of Jim's ex-clients, who had given away information.
Jim didn't realise he was prepared.
He sent Seb. Hours past. He went out looking, and found the bloodied and wracked body of his lover lying on top of a building, sniper forgotten at his side.
Jim had never cried so much in his entire life. He'd never really cried, but losing Seb made him break down, and he lay across Seb's body until dawn broke. He bundled Seb in a bag, and slowly dragged him to the edge of the building.
"Goodbye, Sebastian Moran." he whispered, and he threw the bag over the edge.
The dripping, blood soaked bag tumbled to the ground, and Jim sat down and cried.
Life seemed empty without Seb.
Jim didn't feel like living anymore.
He bowed his head and sobbed until he couldn't cry any more tears.
He had loved Seb.
He had lost Seb.
He had lost love.
