The Last Goodbye
"Will you ever come back?" Vaan choked through his tears.
Balthier smiled sadly and shook his head, "This part of my life is over, I have to move on."
Vaan didn't try to hold back his tears, "You could stay. Stay for me!"
Balthier touched the boy's cheek softly and looked deep into his swirling blue eyes, "I'm sorry Vaan, but a sky pirate never stays too long in one place. I'll miss you, my thief, you will forever hold a special place in my heart."
He turned from the sobbing boy and walked away without looking back…
