A/N: Here is a poem about Lúthien after she gives up her life to be with her lover Beren. I've always loved this story, so I was inspired to do this.

Voice of the Night
O Tinúviel, elf-maiden so fair and strong
Lays down for the eternal sleep of mortal doom.
Twice the night thrush soars overhead
And continues her journey towards the West.
Past the white mountains and forests of old,
She flies with wings outstretched.
She will not behold sorrow once more.
Thus her final song will be the most beautiful.
The night sky drowns out the heavens.
Yet, her voice still rings through the land;
A tale woven of anguish and hope,
A journey to the end of solitude.
O Tinúviel, will we be graced by your presence once more?
The beeches of Neldoreth are grieved by your passing.
The river you once danced by is still and cold.
Yet, past the Sea you will meet him again.
And by his side the Nightingale shall sing.
