A dark cloud seemed to settle over Binan High School. None of the boys could quite figure it out, but everyone could sense something was off in Akoya Gero. All through class he seemed distracted and refused to participate in the lessons.

Kinshiro and Ibushi, the only people aware of his secret, were also the only ones who knew just what was happening with Akoya.

It was that time of the month.

Poor Akoya despised his period more than anything else. It was the monthly reminder that he was in the wrong body, the monthly reminder that he had been cursed to suffer every month for one week due to nature's mix up.

Finally, while going to lunch with Kinshiro and Ibushi, Akoya exploded. "I HATE THIS TIME OF THE MONTH! I HATE IT! I HATE MY LIFE! TELL ME ONE OF YOU HAS A CHOCOLATE BAR," turning to the other two and fixing them with a deadly glare.

"I have one upstairs in the Student Council room when we're done eating," Ibushi said in a soothing voice. "Don't worry."

Akoya was curled up on the couch, whimpering in pain and holding his stomach. He was in extreme pain, and he was in no mood to cooperate with Ibushi and Kinshiro to make it better. Ibushi had made him raspberry tea and was currently trying to persuade him to eat an orange so he would have something in his stomach when he took his Midol. Kinshiro, on the other hand, was busy tearing the Student Council room apart searching for Akoya's heating pad.

"Come on, Akoya," Ibushi said bracingly. "Come on. Just one bite."

"No," Akoya moaned into his pillow. "I don't feel good. It won't stay down."

"Just try," Kinshiro snapped from where he was digging through the drawers in his desk.

"No," spat Akoya, glaring daggers at him. "Fuck you, Kinshiro."

Kinshiro looked over the desk at him, about to make an indignant retort when Ibushi waved him down.

"Be nice, Akoya," Ibushi chided gently. "Kinshiro is doing his best."

Akoya buried his face in his pillow again. "I wanna die."

"Just try to calm down," Ibushi repeated. "I'll leave your tea, orange, and Midol on the coffee table. Try to drink that before it gets cold."

Akoya mumbled something they couldn't hat and Ibushi nodded, standing and turning to go help Kinshiro track down the heating pad.

When he was sure they weren't looking, Ibushi smirked. It meant more to them that they cared for him like this when he needed them than they would ever know.
