The woman gently placed the only thing she had left by the old well in the village Edo
'Maybe this is far enough away that they won't think to look here.' She thought, sighing to herself.
'I just hope that someone loving will find her and care for her even though I cannot.' With that thought she turned to the west and ran off in to the night using her demonic speed just before the old well sparked with ancient magic.
Our favorite miko, Kagome, sighed at the bottom. "I hope that Inuyasha hasn't run off to see Kikyo again tonight." She said aloud. "What am I doing? Thinking like that it will only lead to bad things."
She was so wrapped up in her own thoughts that she never noticed the slight brush of the newborns aura against her own. As she was just about to haul herself up the rope ladder that Miroku made her, Inuyasha appeared at the bottom of the well. As usual he grabbed her around her waist and jumped into the air, monstrous, yellow pack cinched tightly around her shoulder, and all.
When he set her down, that is when she noticed the new aura. She gripped her bow tightly, looking around to look for the intruder dropping her pack in the process. When she realized that the aura was too small to be anything but a newborn or a child she relaxed her grip. As she reached down for her pack she noticed a small blue blanket near the old well. 'Well that's odd.' She thought. She picked up the small bundle and peeked inside. Inside was a beautiful demonic baby girl with raven hair and piercing blue eyes. On her forehead was a violet snowflake.
"Oi, wench what are you gawking at now, huh?" Inuyasha asked in his usual brash manner.
When he saw what was in the bundle he ripped it from Kagome's arms and walked away with the bundle still hanging from his claws. Kagome was outraged to say the least! 'How DARE he?!' She angrily thought to herself. She stormed up to him and snatched the child back. 'I'll show him to act like that.'
"Inuyasha," She said sickeningly sweetly. 'Oh shit, I'm in for it now,' he thought with his ears going back to flatten against his skull.
"SIT!" She screamed, in the process making the baby, which up until this time was sleeping, wake up and start to cry. Kagome made shushing noises, like she did for Shippo when he woke up from a night mare. After a while, the child went back to sleep. With Inuyasha still in a hole of his own making for a while, Kagome decided to head to the village with her pack on her back and the baby in her arms.
