I Thought You'd Never Ask

Austin's Pov

I clapped along to the beat of the song, my eyes scanning the crowd looking for the beautiful brunette I have fallen for. My smile dropped when I saw her.

There looking longingly at the heart breaker in her red dress and her sad face, stood Ally. I stopped clapping and looked at her. I grabbed the microphone and stood up.

"Stop!" I said and everyone stopped

"There's only time for one song, and I'd rather spend that time dancing with my best friends!" I said smiling and Dez walked up to me and I said:

"I meant Ally." and she walked over to me

"What are you doing? Your missing your chance at getting booked in those clubs" she pointed out and I just smiled

"It's more important that the coolest girl here finally gets her dance!" I said "Hit it!" I said to the DJ. I grabbed Ally's right hand and her upper back. We started slow dancing, me nodding my head to the beat of the music, as everyone else turned to slow dance, I think I even saw Trish and Dez dancing.

"Austin this is so sweet!" she said to me smiling sweetly.

I spun her around and brought her back saying:

"Time for the dip!" then I dipped her. I brought her back up looking deep into her eyes. I was about to start leaning in when I heard a bull horn and Mrs. De La Rosa say:

"Party's Over!" Ally and I started walking out. We we are half way down the street when I felt a drop hit my head. I looked up and a couple more fell on me.

Rain. It started getting colder and I looked over at Ally. She was shivering and her teeth were chattering. I slipped off my jacket and put it around her shoulders.

She looked up at me confused.

"You looked cold, plus I'm wearing long sleeves so I'm be fine." she smiled

"Thanks." she said

"You know Dallas really is stupid if he can't see how awesome and amazing you truly are." I said

"Thanks Austin, but I really liked him, I just can't believe he did that." she said and started walking again.

"Forget about him, he's not that great, just because he has dark hair and kind eyes, plus my eyes are probably 10 times more kind then his." I said and she giggled " And it's not about looks, it's what's on the inside that counts. But I gotta admit looks are a plus." I said and she giggled again.

"Your right, I should forget about him." she said looking at the ground. By now it was pouring, but I didn't care and neither did she. I started leaning in slowly. She did the same. I grabbed her waist and pulled her closer. She was still wearing my jacket and it was sticking to her like her hair was to her face. She looked absolutely gorgeous. She wrapped her arms around my neck. I continued leaning in and our lips brushed. I whispered to her:

"And I gotta say it, you are gorgeous, and if Dallas can't see that then he definitely doesn't deserve you." then I pressed my lips on hers. They tasted like strawberry, my favorite.

My heart beat was going crazy and I could feel her's against mine just as fast.

She kissed back smiling.

We pulled away for air. I pressed my forehead against her's, the smiles never leaving our faces.

"Wow." she whispered breaking eye contact and looking down.

"I'm sorry, you just told me you still like Dallas, I shouldn't have kissed you." I said starting to pull away

"No, it's OK, I liked it." she said smiling at me and bringing me back. I smiled.

"Ally, will you-"

"I thought you'd never ask!" she said interrupting me and then kissing me.

Hope you liked it I know I did!
