This just came to me while I was listening to this song. Nate strikes me as the kind of guy who would worry about losing his best friend to a girl.

I can see what's happening here. They're clueless. They'll fall in love and Jason and I will be forgotten. Or at least perceived as second best. Great, now I sound like Shane!
It's just, Shane (the old Shane, not the jerky Shane) was the only person that I could ever truly confide in. Part of the reason I thought of sending him back to Camp Rock was because I wanted that Shane back. Not because I wanted him to meet some girl that was everything he wanted and more! This is a total disaster!

The crickets chirped peacefully and the moon shone brightly down on the glittering lake. The peace of the evening made Camp Rock even better than before. It seemed like a beautiful song. One of those wonderful songs where the harmony is amazing and you know that if anyone else was singing that song then it would be horrible. Those two people at the moment were Shane and Mitchie.

I've got so many things to tell Mitchie, but how can I tell her the truth about my past? Every other girl I"ve told has shunned me for it or at least treated me differently. That's part of the reason I became the jerk that I was. But maybe, just maybe, she will be different.

He's holding something back from me, hiding something if you will. That seems slightly hypocritical but I understand. What is he hiding? I can't decide! Why won't he just be the guy I know he is, the one that I can see trying to come out?

All the animals could feel something different in the air. It was something they had experienced many atime near this lake. Through the mist and uncertainty that clouded the night, sat two star-crossed lovers. Even if they didn't know it yet.

If he does fall in love tonight, all those carefree days as a bad are pretty much history. In other words, our friend and possibly our band, are doomed.
