I have a serious problem with people. First they say that they're so in love that they could die, that they'll wait forever just for you. Mostly they're just lies that they convince themselves into believing

Sometimes they don't even do that! They know it'll end in heartbreak and despair for the other one, so why do it? Is it so people will be jealous, or so that they can have arm candy? Well I hate it. I see it for what it really is.

"I remember tears streaming down your face, Alice, you begged me not to go." I say.

"And I remember you telling me that the sun is going down, that I'll be okay, Bella. I want to try!" my best friend tells me.

I sigh at the memory of Alice's last boyfriend. I mean seriously, who confesses their love and stays in a relationship for 3 fucking years, then goes behind her back, betraying her trust with some fucking slut, then tells her that he never really loved her, and that it was her fault that she didn't see it. It has been a month since then, and she tells me she wants to go on this amazing road trip to Washington from Arizona to see the sights, and maybe find another guy.

"I guess so, Alice, but you have to convince Charlie for me." I bargained.

"Deal, and hey, who knows what you'll find. Maybe it'll be worth it for you after all!" Alice exclaims.

I drive back to my house with Alice in shotgun, wondering how she'll convince Charlie to let me go with her for the trip. For all he knows, we might not ever come back.

"Hey Ch-Dad! How was work?" I ask as I come in.

"It was fine, Sweetie." He replies. He eyes me suspiciously as Alice come in behind me.

"Ahem. Mr. Swan," she begins before winking at me," I would like to take Bella with me on a road trip to Washington. I have family there, and I can pay for the entire thing, I expect that there will be no safety issues along the way." She says quickly.

I snort. She knows how much I hate her spending money on me.

"Alice, how long do you think you'll be gone?" he inquires.

She thinks about this for a minute. "I really dunno…" Alice says eventually.

He doesn't seem to like this at all, but his face is resigned. "I guess that you ladies can go, I mean you're both grown women who are able to take care of yourselves. She's my baby, and I want her to be able to check in once in a while." He says solemnly.

Please review this and my other story about how to add chapters and what to do next! I WILL NOT SUBMIT ANYMORE IF NO ONE REVIEWS! Sorry about the short chapter, I want to see if anyone at all likes it. My other story turned out to be pretty bad apparently.
