A Gallagher Wedding Continued.
*Note: This is how I think A Gallagher Wedding would have continued, had Ally extended it. This is my first story in a while, so please offer constructive criticism in the reviews. Thanks! ^_^ If you haven't read "A Gallagher Wedding" (yes this is actually written by Ally Carter after United We Spy,) I read it at "hidingbehindalegend" 's tumblr. (I typed "A Gallagher Wedding hidingbehindalegend" in google.) YOU NEED TO READ THAT BEFORE READING MY STORY TO UNDERSTAND.
"I do." I said, and took his arm as he leaned over to graze my temple with a soft, gentle kiss.
"Let's go." he said, and gently pulled me as we started walking towards my mother and Mr. Solomon.
Towards the beginning of a new chapter.
Towards my future.
If there's anything I've learned from my 6 years at The Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women, (and I've learned a lot; they don't teach you how to knock out a professional assassin using just a hair tie and some bobby pins just anywhere,) it's that in an instant, anything can change.
But as I walked down the P&E barn, my arm entwined with Zach's, admiring the orchids and the gentle music playing, and my fellow sisters in long, beautiful dresses, I couldn't help but feel that for once, everything just might go alright.
We reached the end of the walkway, and Zach and I parted ways walking to our respective sides, I with the bridesmaids, and Zach with the groomsmen, waiting for my mother to walk down the aisle.
I stood behind Professor Buckingham and turned towards the entrance of the P&E barn as my mother gracefully stepped through. But not before risking a glance at Mr. Solomon.
Mr. Solomon is one of the best operatives I know. (Besides my father and mother of course.) He not only got out of The Circle but almost took it down single handedly! But his greatest skill undoubtedly is his ability to mask his emotions. But seeing him standing there, handsomely in his black Armani suit and crisp tie, it was hard not to notice that Mr. Solomon was tearing up.
Maybe it was the spy in me.
Maybe it was the teenage girl in me.
Maybe it was both.
But I came to realize even the best spies can't hide when they're very happy.
I glanced over at Zach to find him watching me with a small smile on his face. I smiled as he winked at me and nodded over to my gleaming, tearful mother who was being lead down the aisle by my Aunt Abigail.
So strong. So graceful. So poised.
So ready.
And from then on I knew,
This summer, give or take whatever happens, I know i'll be prepared for whatever comes next.
This summer, I have a mother and a father (in-law) by my side.
This summer, there will be no more running away.
This summer, I'll be running towards.
