The Rooftop

Marco was standing patiently on the rooftop watching Eren in his titan form slowly carry the boulder to its destination with Marco knowing full well that the hell he was enduring would soon be over. Marco knew it wasn't all bad because this would be humanities first victory and more importantly he was with Jean throughout the mission. Jean saw Marco and started running up to him, Marco heard the footsteps and turned around happy to see the horse-faced person before him.

"Who would think that Jaeger would actually pull it off," Jean acknowledged "Hey Marco can I talk to you about something?" Jean said as he got to the reason he arrived.

"Yeah sure what's on your mind?" Marco replied.

"I was thinking when this is over and we are in the interior, do you want to get a drink as a friendly get together?" Jean asked wondering on what Marco would say next.

"Sure, I'd like to." Marco said with a faint blush on his cheeks.

"Great, well I'll see you later." Jean left blushing almost 4 times as much as Marco. Saying Marco was happy was an understatement, he was the happiest man alive, happier then everyone in the wall combined (that isn't that hard to beat to be honest). Marco later turned around just in time to see Mikasa take out the titan blocking Eren's path with the smoothness she has always had during the academy days, but Marco didn't care about that he only cared that there was a chance that Jean liked him back which made Marco even happier. Marco turned his head to see Reiner and Bertholdt standing on a nearby rooftop. He made his way over to them to see how they were. That would be Marco's final mistake and Jean found him dead the next day with half of his body leaning against a wall.
