Humanity has built up around the anti-gravity gladiatorial racing sport which is WipEout, they don't need ezoo which is near useless on the strike craft they wage war with, they've already got powerful flexible shields, engines and weapons from WipEout. How will this effect the impact they have on the rest of the galaxy after finding the Charon relay?

1. Chapter 1

Humanity has gotten to the point where even the military couldn't function without sponsorship, this started in 2048 with the new and highly anticipated anti-gravity racing/combat sports advent- WipEout. Soon anti-gravity racing would hold domination of global currency this single-handedly broke down most of the cultural & financial barriers between all non-third countries. As said before the military are sponsored by the racer companies with each fleet being sponsored by a separate company making each fleet unique.

With such focus on one manned craft the military soon had thousands of projects dedicated to space combat centered on one man craft; of these targeted issues were how to avoid damage from larger ship's point defense systems which concluded with the high intensity laser deflective armor (HILDA) after it was decided that only a laser pds could track & hit the war-craft they were making, the next big leap was the heat-to-plasma torpedo system for both heavy weaponry and to make use of the excess heat from the engines & outer armor while removing the heat complication, this does require re-docking every 8-28 minutes to restock the torpedo martial.

Finding the Prothean catch on mars happens in the Year 2155 when it's remaining technologically usefulness isn't so.. useful. There had been a-lot of money available to anyone who can come-up with something to field the war-craft with minimal delay to territorial combat areas, like portal gates that have similar functionality to the 'Mass-warp gates' or a FTL system to fit on carrier sized spacecraft. Mobile cruiser class ships have been built around the the end result, a portal device that forms a 10 meter diameter circle that happens to work the same as the portal gun from Portal just with a different way of activation.

When Shanxi came under attack in 2157 it was a pure race to the colony, this was the first chance to get ahead of the competition in terms of public support since the start of anti-gravity racing. The alien interceptors proved useless against the Human pilots, with the plasma onslaught from the Human war-craft of nearly every human fleet the entire alien fleet fell all to soon. The ground forces were still on they're own until the aliens surrendered with the loss of the fleet. The war-craft names and combat capabilities relate to the sponsor company.

This story will lack some aspects of WipEout since I only have fusion, pure & 2048 games. Because of the similarity between my portals and the ones in Portal I'm just going to say it's a Portal crossover as well. For a soundtrack the website WipEoutHD can be used.

I will try to write this, but I took 3 hours just with that bit... I would like a beta but the spelling mistakes I make are often past any recognition so I would need to see if there are specific areas I could trust to a beta instead.
