Time

Maybe One shot maybe prologue. I need to sort through my stories clean up.

It was still overwhelming, all this new technology. Everything was magical; everything screamed nothing was the same. Yet this was a mere scratch of the surface. Thor's home planet had even better technology, a mere scratch in the surface. Steve sat in a chair by Bruce's lab table. It is hard to change, he thought, especially when you did not change since World War Two. Holding his head he hunched over the table. He wondered how Peggy has changed. Steve was not sure how to think of Peggy anymore. Love was love but if she was dead, had forgotten him. It hurt all the same. He stretched back arms reaching. Serving just was not the same anymore, he thought too much now. It wasn't that honorable anymore.
"Good Luck, Bruce."
Steve called as he left. Loki's scepter was some scepter. It had this blue orb and it enslaved people, it was madness.

Steve walked down the S.H.E.I.L.D hallway, wandering. They caught Loki Thor's crazy adopted brother, but now what? They were obviously ill equipped. How long did they really think Loki would stay in that glass chamber of sorts? Loki was all voodoo and magic though not brute strength. S.H.E.I.L.D made it for The Other Guy. Which was offensive, showing how little they trusted Bruce, how little they trusted all of them. What did they have made for the rest of them? He passed a golden plaque, it listed all the former runners of S.H.E.I.L.D . As his eyes scanned the plaque he saw Howard Stark's name and smiled, something familiar at least. His smile was torn away at the next one, Margaret Carter. He leaned against the wall by the plaque; it was hard to imagine her life without him in it. He had never thought about it before. He glanced about the metal hallway to make sure he was alone.
"Margaret Carter…"
Did she not marry? It was heartening to think she was still in love with him through all this time, but it was not fair to her. Maybe this was before she got married.

"It's my choice Peggy…"
It was her choice too, a bad one as well. His was bad too, but they were both good. So were the people who made him this way they made mistakes too though. Alive for so long, yet still learning. Steve tried to feel their love again. It was ironic really; they were both in the same place just separated by time. He learned much by being with Tony. Time was something that no one should mess with. Someone like Steve.

Reviews are quite nice you know.
