My Mulatto Princess
When I was ten years old my Granddad moved my brother and I to the Boondocks.
I Hated That Move!
I didn't see what good could come into moving to this white man's land.
That's till I saw you my mulatto princess.
You came outside when your parents did to come and visit us.
You looked at me with your beautiful bright emerald eyes and said "hi."
Then you gave me a smile that out shined a diamond.
My heart skipped a beat and at that moment I knew I was home.
We soon became friends and one day we went on top of a hill.
We talked and watched the clouds go by till you fell asleep on my chest.
I kept my love from her a silent secret.
It was so peaceful watching my little princess fast asleep in a world where I can't be in.
She brings me happiness and beauty in this ugly world we live in.
I love her.
With all my mind, body, heart and soul.
I smiled as I reflect that I've been giving this sweet mulatto princess.
To protect, cherish, and love.
That's the vow I made that day and I WILL kept it until my last breath, my love.
