Ever since I met her in the 7th grade, I had the biggest red crush on this girl named Kanaya. She was tall, attractive, and extremely polite. But I never had the self confidence to confess, much less ask her out on a date or something. Especially since she came from such a wealthy family that didn't date poor families like mine much less like them. So I never even bothered to say anything to anyone about it. All of that changed during lunch at high school in one day when my moirail Gamzee caught me staring at her, "Hey Tavbro what you starin' at?" Gamzee was a juggalo, despite most everyone thinking he was creepy we became best friends. "i, uh, nothing..." He laughed, it always creeped me out. "So when you gonna stop all motherfuckin lyin to me" I sighed, Gamzee knew me far too well sometimes. "p-promise you wont, uh, tell anyone?" He put an arm around me,"A course Tav." I sighed a little louder,"i, um, really like Kanaya" He looked a little surprised, but smiled and nodded slowly,"you want me to ask her out on a motherfuckin date for you?" I leaned forward slightly shocked and whined," g-gamzee! you promised not to tell anyone" "You know im motherfuckin kiddin' Tavbro, it was just a motherfuckin offer, think about it" Just then the bell rang, and I walked to class slowly my head in a daze. After all these years its possible, finally possible, to date the girl of my dreams. But I knew that she would say no, people would tease me. Even on the off chance she said yes I didn't know where to go for a date or how to act and I was too poor to afford it. After school, Gamzee and I walk home together everyday. "so are you motherfuckin sure you dont want me to ask her? I'm sure she would say yes" "a-as much as i want to, i dont even know what to do on a date and i cant afford it, besides she would never say yes..." Gamzee went silent and looked like he was thinking,"if I were to pay for you to take her to dinner and i asked her for you, would you go?" I went silent, slightly stunned. "um sure i guess so..." we arrived at my house, and i said goodbye to Gamzee. I walked inside and flopped on my bed, trying to figure out what i had just given him permission to do...

I stretched as i walked towards the table Kanaya was sittin' at. "hey sis can i have a motherfuckin word with you real quick, i need to ask you somethin" She looked a little hesitant but stood up "Of Course" We walked away from the table,"sorry this ain't comin directly from Tavros, but he was wonderin if you wanted to go out to a dinner date with him" She blushed and tried to hold back a smile,"I Think That Would Be Okay, Tell Him I Said Yes"
