KONNICHIWA MINNA! I don't own Sailor Moon! And this is my latest creation! I know what you're thinking: YATEN AND USAGI!? Well, they really don't get together or anything… but it's cute and short and waffy… so… I like it… It's still cute, I guess… and I know they don't really go together in some ways… but this is the 'Hidden' side of Yaten, the way no one sees him on screen! So here ya go! From me to you! Ja ne!
"Why are you so mean to me?" Usagi questioned looking up at the silver-haired menace from her spot on the floor. His jade eyes glinted in the sunlight as he smiled malevolently.
"Because," Shrugging, he turned away from the beautiful blonde and walked down the street.
Riddled with anger, Usagi pushed herself up from the ground and chased after him. She ran around him to stand directly in his path. Usagi stared at him with frustrated, confused, and upset eyes and he simply smirked.
"Don't walk away from me!" Usagi almost growled. Yaten laughed for a moment, before walking around her to continue on his trek.
"And why shouldn't I?" He called over his shoulder.
Usagi chased after him, "Because! You always do this!"
Yaten stopped and turned to look at her, smiling that same cocky smile that Usagi wanted to wipe off his face.
"Why can't you just be nice for once?" Usagi was now near pleading with him. She stood angry and upset that the smile still remained ever present on his face.
"Because… It gets your attention."
Usagi's thought came to dead halt as her mind dwindled on the few words he'd just said. 'Gets my attention?' She thought, her eyes reflection the same confused nature flowing through her mind.
He stood, unblinking, watching her every move from her reaction to his words. Suddenly her cheeks flushed a bright red.
"And… why would you want my attention?" she questioned softly.
Yaten shrugged, "Because." He began to walk away from Usagi. Again, she ran into his path of destination and looked at him angrily.
"What do you mean by that!?" She forced out, frustrated by his cool collectiveness. Yaten smirked softly as he noted that she was preparing herself for a snide remark. Instead, he leaned forward and touched her soft lips with his own.
The kiss was beautiful, sweet, innocent, and everything that Usagi was to Yaten. He pulled away, noting her cheeks were twice as red as they had been before.
Usagi watched in deep surprise as he smiled. Not one of his quirky 'I'm perfect' smiles, but a real smile. Sparkling teeth and all.
He reached out and touched her flaming cheeks with his soft hand.
"Wha… what was that?" Usagi was trying to calm her fluttering stomach. His soft gaze burned into her like an unforgetful memory.
"It was a kiss," Yaten said calmly, taking his hand away from her cheek.
"What for?" She questioned.
"Because…"
Usagi knew he was going to answer like that. She opened her mouth to speak, but was cut off as Yaten finished his sentence.
"… I love you."
She couldn't speak. Her head was reeling from the three words. She watched as his expression changed quickly. His eyes looked sad as he spoke some more to her.
"I know… that you don't love me," He looked down to avoid her powerful gaze, "And I know… how Seiya feels now…. Not being able to love you. You love another…"
"I… I'm sorry, Yaten…" Usagi was quiet as she spoke. Two glittering tears fell from Yaten's eyes as he forced himself to look at her.
"No… I'm sorry for loving you…"
