Okay, so I am an impulsive writer at times, and this was an impulse oneshot. I don't know what possessed me to write this. Anyway, this takes place during the movie during my favourite scene, and it is not connected to the fanfic I'm writing with Buddi. Enjoy! :D

"So this is the inside of a whale!" She said happily, glancing around. How could she be so happy? We were inside a whale, and I would never be able to find my son! "You know, I speak whale."

I wanted the whale to swallow me, so I could be away from her and her senselessness. I try to trust her, and where did that get us? Inside a whale!

"Dory, you really are crazy, aren't you? We're inside a whale!" I exclaimed, trying to get through her thick skull.

"You're such a grumpy sea monkey!" She exclaimed. She let herself be carried around with the water. She seemed to be enjoying herself. I wish I could be as carefree as her. Just to be able to go with the water and not have to worry about anything.

"Tell your whale friend to open up so we can find my son!" I ordered.

Dory paused. "Pllllleeeaaassseee oooopeeennn uuup! Weee waaaant to fiiiind hiissss sssooonnn, Jeeellllllll-ooo!"

"Nemo," I corrected her, but she wasn't listening.

The whale made whatever sound whales make, and the sound vibrated us. Dory paused to interpret the sound.

"He said it's not the right time to let us out. We'll be let out soon," Dory said. She noticed how unamused I looked. She just smiled and tilted sideways. "Trust me on this!"

I trusted her about the whale, and now we were inside of it! If I managed to get out of here alive, I would never trust her again. We were probably miles away from Nemo now.

She started to float on her back and yell out with enjoyment as the sloshing of the water carried her around. I wondered if I should try it with her, but if we both weren't being productive, then nothing would happen.

"Let us out soon? He means to eat us! Dory, whales eat fish. We're fish!" I explained. I had to get out of here.

I threw myself against the whale's mouth, trying to escape. I did it again, and again, and again, and Dory didn't take any note of it. She just had fun.

"No! I have to get out!" I threw myself against the whale. "I have to tell him...how old...sea turtles...are!"

I sank to the bottom of the whale, covering my face with my fins. This was it. We were stuck inside the whale, and we were going to be dinner. We came half way across the ocean, and then this.

"Whoo! You gotta try this!" She exclaimed. "Whoo!" Then, she noticed me. "Hey. You okay?" She swam to my side, but I didn't want to look at her. She was so...so useless.

"There there. It's alright. It'll be okay," she promised.

"No. No it won't," I muttered, still looking away.

"Sure it will. You'll see," She said.

"No. No, I promised. I promised I wouldn't let anything happen to him," I said.

Dory paused and thought hard. That was rare. "Huh, that's a funny thing to promise."

"What?"

"Well, you can't ever let anything happen to him. Then nothing would ever happen to him," That was true. It was very true. I was putting my son into a box. Things needed to happen to him, but not everything is a bad thing. I glanced at Dory, and she just smiled. It was so comforting to know someone out in the ocean cared. She probably didn't even know how much that meant to me. How much she meant to me. "Not much fun for little Harpo."

I hope you have enjoyed it! This was just written for fun, so if you have any constructive criticism, I'll be happy to hear it!...or read it I guess... :)
