It was a dark and rainy night and Frankie was out and about the town looking for Cole. She was trying to find him as it was very late, and he still had not come home yet. "Cole?" Frankie asked worriedly. "Cole, where are you?" She was scared that she would never find her husband. "Please, help me find Cole," she prayed to the heavens. And then, she went into the deep part of a mysterious building and saw Cole who was lying unconscious on the ground.
"Cole!" she called out to him in horror. Frankie kneeled beside him and turned him over in her arms. She put her hand on the back of his head, lifting it up gingerly; she felt blood on her hand coming from the back of his head. "Please, no, I don't want to lose you," she cried in tears. Cole wouldn't look at her; his eyes wouldn't open. He couldn't open them. She tried to listen to his heartbeat getting blood in her hair and on the side of her head.
As she couldn't hear a sound from him, she screamed, "No! Cole!" She lifted his lifeless body and pressed him to her, getting soaked in his blood. Then a stranger approached Cole as she couldn't see him because the rain and her tears were clouding her vision. "What have you done with my husband?", she shouted angrily. The strange man ignored her question as he began to menacingly walk towards her, as Frankie slowly backed away from him. She then felt a wall behind her as the man cornered her. He then took her arm and grasped it hard. "Please, stop that, you're hurting me." She said even more scared than before. "But why would I do that?" the man said still showing his evil smile. "I have a special surprise for you." As he tried to get Frankie to lay down on the ground, Frankie struggled to get free and she was trying to fight out of the man's hold on her.
"No, please, stop it!", she screamed in terror. "Too late," the man said in a devilishly voice through a smirk on his face. "Now I'm going to rape you good and I'm going to murder you like what I did with your husband!" "NOOOO!" Frankie screamed.
Suddenly, Frankie felt herself being gently shaken. "Frankie, Frankie, wake up," said a familiar voice. Frankie was now awake as she screamed and looked up to see that she was in the master bedroom of her and Cole's house. She turned to see Cole sitting next to her in bed as tears began to run down her face. "Cole, you're all right!" She said, relief in her voice, as she reached out to him, surprising him as she started to cry. Cole wrapped his arms around his wife, pulling her into a warm hug and rubbing soothing circles around her back and gently kissing her cheek and lips. "Shh, it's okay now, honey, you're safe and sound." He whispered tenderly in her ear.
Frankie slowly stopped crying as Cole released her from the hug. She then said "Cole, you'll never believe what happened. I dreamed that I was looking for you in the pouring rain, and when I found you, you had been killed and then the man who killed you was trying to rape and then kill me." She began to cry again as Cole wrapped his arms around her. "Everything's okay now. Sh," he whispered. Frankie slowly stopped crying and she wiped the tears from her eyes. "Frankie, you know that's not going to happen," Cole said. "And you know I would never let anything bad happen to you. Because I love you and I really do care about you." Frankie lightly smiled at Cole. "Oh, Cole..." They soon hugged and kissed each other, engaging in very passionate kisses.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the bedroom door. "Come in," Cole and Frankie said. The door opened to reveal their two kids, Miles, age 8, and Gaby, age 6. Frankie walked briskly toward them and hugged them like she never hugged them before. "Mommy, are you OK? We heard a loud scream that sounded like you." Gaby said concernedly. Miles then added, "We thought you were hurt or something." Frankie smiled at them lovingly. "Oh, kids, Mommy just had a little nightmare but it's nothing me and Daddy can't handle. It's so nice to know we have kids like you who really do care about us." The kids smiled, knowing that their mother was safe and sound. They said their good nights to their parents and went back to their own bedrooms knowing that everything was all right.
Frankie walked back to bed. She got back into bed and turned to Cole and then said, "Cole, I'm afraid to go back to sleep. What if the nightmare comes back?" Cole smiled and replied, "I'll stay with you to make sure my beautiful wife and the mother of our lovely children has no more bad dreams." Frankie smiled and kissed her handsome husband one last time before they laid down in bed together. "Good night, Frankie, I love you", Cole said. Frankie replied, "Good night, Cole, I love you, too." They soon cuddled up close together and fell back asleep knowing that their love for each other would help them get through whatever bad things came their way.
