Ginny gazed into her mirror, looking at herself from the side

Ginny gazed into her mirror, looking at herself from the side. She smoothed her shirt down on her stomach, trying to look at least a little presentable. She had had a late night last night; her wonderful, loving boyfriend had dumped her. Harry Potter. He was everything she had ever wanted; he was sweet, caring, loving, fun, but he had been hiding something from her. He was cheating on her. That's all he had said, "Ginny, I'm sorry, I haven't been faithful to you, it's over." It was a 'what-the-fuck' moment, but it had really kicked in a couple hours later, as she was studying with Hermione. She had never been the type of girl to cry over a guy, but there she had been; sobbing all over her books, Hermione's arm over her shoulder, Pavarti giving her a weird look from across the room. It was pathetic.

She walked down the stairs, with her head held high. Oh, shit. Ronald and Harry were sitting there whispering to each other. As she reached the bottom of the stairs, they stopped talking and looked at her.

"Ronald. Harry," she greeted them coldly.

Whew. She smiled. Another day in the life.
