Path Of Thorns
Tiny vile, so hard, so mean
Hw could one ignore your silver sheen?
So tempting, the contents so devious
To end all of her frivolous
Nonsense. So easy to tilt you in,
And stir until it begins.
Slowly She chokes and coughs,
Her hands fluttering like moths.
Suddenly She falls to the ground.
I look, to make sure no one is around.
She stares at me with horror in Her eye
And She asks a simple question "Why?"
And I look back
As She closes her eyes, her cough turning to a hack
"Because, Cousin Dearest," I reply
"He's mine, not yours, that's Why"
She looks at me, Her eyes shouting that she wish I had never been born
I listen to Her say
With Her last breath, that carried Her words my way
"Beware the Path of Thorns,
Cousin, for once he's gone
I shall be the one with John."
Her eyelids close on Her last words to say
And I chose, my path that fateful day…
A/N so what did you think? I wrote it when I got back form the pool, after I drew the picture that inspired it! So please review and tell me what you thought…or not. This is complete by the way, but I would just like to say. Come back again 'cause I think I'm adding a little chapter to explain things!! We shall see! So…please please tell me what you thought, I would appreciate it veryy much!!
