A/N: Okay, this is just a quick one-shot I felt I had to write. The ending of Inception is SO FREAKIN' ADORABLE AND MUSHY, and...and...well, I dunno. I reread this a few times and I feel it came out kind of crummy, so I might just take it down later if I really start regretting posting it.

BUT UNTIL THEN. Err...enjoy?

Disclaimer: I own Inception. *wakes up* Oh...wait...nevermind.

"James, don't be a dummy! That," said Phillipa, as she shoved a pile of dirt a few feet to the left, "is supposed to go next to the tower."

"But I don't get it! What's it even supposed to be, Philly?"

Phillipa pursed her lips as she tried to think of an answer. Honestly, she had just moved it because she had wanted to build the mud castle all by herself, but of course James had to intrude. Now she really didn't know what the dirt pile could be.

"Uh…I guess it's a pile of horse poo," said Phillipa, which resulted in a round of laughter from James.

Phillipa couldn't help but start laughing, too.

"I wish we could build a real big castle," James said, absent mindedly poking at a worm with a twig.

"Well, that'd take too long," Phillipa said very matter of factly, picking dirt out from under her tiny finger nails.

"Not if Grampa would help us!" James said, perking up slightly. Phillpa sighed.

"No, James, Grampa's too old, silly. Old people don't like to play with dirt."

"Why?"

Phillipa shrugged. "I dunno," she said.

"Where did Grampa go, anyways?" James asked.

"Remember? He said he was gonna go get us a surprise!"

"Oh yeah! He said it'd be even better than a Pillow Pet," James said, clapping with delight.

"So Grampa couldn't help us, anyways, he's not even here!" Phillipa said, attempting to sculpt another castle tower of mud.

"I bet Daddy would help us, wouldn't he?" said James.

Silence.

"Yeah," Phillipa agreed.

Suddenly, a voice came from the back door.

"James! Phillipa! Look who's here," came their grandfather's voice.

Both children turned around, excited to see what surprise their grandfather had brought. This caused them to squeal with delight and abandon their project, jumping up and screaming "Daddy!" as they ran into their father's arms.

Cobb held his children tight and told them how much he missed them, how sorry he was, how he'd never leave them again.

"Daddy," Phillipa said after a moment, "why are you crying?"

"Yeah, Daddy, don't be sad!" said James with a worried voice.

"I'm not sad, guys, I'm happy. I finally get to be with my two favorite people again."

"Oh! Okay! Daddy, will you help us build the bestest mud castle ever?" Phillipa asked, tugging at her father's jacket sleeve.

"Of course I will, sweetheart. Lead the way."

Yeah, definitely better than a Pillow Pet.

A/N: Like I said, not the best, slightly crummy. Like, pie-crust crummy. So, yeah. Thanks for reading, and if you review I will love you forever.

On a side note, keep a look out for updates to my other stories. I haven't been really focused on updating, and for that I apologize, but...y'know. I'm lazy.

Peace out, homies.
