(A/N: I felt like writing about rebellious Nessie. Enjoy!)
Defiant
One day, Renesmee decides to tell Jacob how she really feels. "Jacob," she says. "I don't need you anymore. You can go off on your own or whatever now."
Jacob stares at her blankly. "What are you talking about?" he asks. "Of course you need me. Otherwise I wouldn't have imprinted on you."
Renesmee stomps her foot, a habit she picked up from Bella. "That's the problem with all of you!" she shouts. "You all think that I'm a helpless little baby! But I'm not. I can take care of myself!"
Jacob is still staring at his imprint, surprised by her outburst, "Nessieā¦" he starts.
"And don't call me that stupid nickname!" Renesmee interrupts. "Do you think I want to be a monster, or have some creepy name like Renesmee? Think again. From now on, I'm going by my middle name only. At least Carlie is a nice, normal name."
"Nes-" Jacob stops himself. "Er, Carlie, what brought all of this on?"
"Maybe it's the fact that I've been babied by my entire family for my whole life? Jacob, I don't need you, and I never will. Go off on your own or something."
"Nes- um, Carlie, what am I supposed to do without you?" Jacob asks.
"Something tells me Leah might be interested."
(A/N: I can't believe I'm saying this, but it's fun to write about Nessie like this. As always, reviews are love!)
