Lavi groaned. He rolled away from the arm draped over his chest and fell noisily to the floor. Ignoring his recent companion, he stumbled out the door towards the kitchen he vaguely remembered. After a few false starts, he managed to find it and immediately began looking for something to eat. He wrinkled his nose slightly as he pulled out some bread and jam. The entire place smelled of cookies and shameful hate-sex on the table.

He considered the table for a few moments, balancing his breakfast in his hand. He thought of everything that had transpired in the heady alcoholic haze of the night.

He decided to eat at the counter.

When he had almost finished breakfast, a pair of arms wrapped around his waist and pulled him against a firm chest.

"Good morning," Tyki whispered, kissing Lavi's ear.

"Morning," Lavi grumbled, a blush splashing across his face.

"Would you like anything else to eat?"

"No, this was fine."

"All right."

Lavi stood awkwardly with Tyki leaning on his shoulder until Tyki sighed and let go. "Well, if you're taken care of then I suppose I'm off to work." He pecked Lavi on the forehead and started to walk away.

Lavi hurried after him. "Work?" he asked as Tyki paused in front of a mirror to adjust his hat.

Tyki gave him an odd look. "Yes. You know what I do."

"But…"

Tyki grinned mockingly. "Did you think that it changed things?"

Lavi stared at him, his mind devoid of words. But his expression told Tyki everything he wanted to know. With a condescending smile he leaned over and pecked Lavi lightly on the lips.

"Sorry to disappoint." He left the Exorcist staring after him, the look of surprise and anger still frozen on his face.
