So I decided to make this fanfic because I love Takaomi. And I also feel that sometimes he feels alone. Hayasaka, Mafuyu, and Yui spend lots of time together and stuff. But what about Takaomi? Who does he turn to when he has problems? Who's willing to listen to his feelings. So I created a OC won would just that! Hope you guys like it. Enjoy!
"You wanted to see me, Oji-Chan…?" Takaomi walks up to his grandfather.
Every time he sees him, his body looks more fragile than ever. He hated to see his grandfather this way-Always unhappy, but trying to hide behind it with a smile.
"Good evening, Takaomi-Kun…How are you?" His grandfather asks.
"I'm doing well, and what about you?"
"Well, my back aches a little, and my feet feels like pins and needles…" his grandfather chuckled. Takaomi did not smile.
"…But other than that, I'm fine…"
"What did you want to see me for Oji-Chan?" Takaomi asked.
"I just wanted to see my grandson. You never know when an old geezer like me will die…" His grandfather made a joke to lighten up the mood, but Takaomi was still not smiling.
"Don't say that. It's not funny…" Takaomi said with concern.
"I know. I'm sorry." Takaomi sits next tho his grandfather on the bench. For a moment, they didn't exchange words. They sat there, looking at Midori Ga Oka high school in the distance.
Midori Ga Oka…Ojii-Chan's most prized possession. His treasure.
"Takaomi-Kun, I know I've asked you already, but…" Oji-Chan places a hand on his grandson's shoulder.
"Please, let this go. Don't force yourself to do this for my sake. You still have a whole life ahead of you. Don't throw it all away…"
"No. I'm not backing out now. I've come so far to get to where I am. The moment I stepped into that there was no going back. I started all this, and I intend to end it." Takaomi argued as his grandfather gazed at his beloved school.
"Then I guess I can't persuade you otherwise…" Tears trickled down his eyes.
"I'm so sorry that you had to be dragged into all this…"
"You don't need to apologize. It's not your fault..."
"I'm so grateful that I have such a wonderful grandson…" Oji-Chan sniffles as he hugged his grandson.
Takaomi could feel a lump in his throat. He's a grown man now. He doesn't cry. But deep down, he wanted to. Deep down, he's still the same little boy who admires his grandfather.
"Gojou-San!" a voice was heard from behind. Oji-Chan wiped his tears. A young woman appeared before them.
"Gojou-San, I brought you the tea that you asked for…" The young woman spots Takaomi. She bowed. He bowed his head also.
"A…Am I interrupting something? Is something wrong?" She stuttered.
"No no, nothing is wrong. Thank you for the water and blanket my dear…" Oji-Chan smiled.
"Ah yes, this is my grandson. The one I told you about." He points to Takaomi.
"Takaomi-Kun, this is Hana Nakano. She is my caretaker." Takaomi stood up and bowed.
"It's nice to meet finally you, Gojou-San." She bowed again.
"Likewise." replied Takaomi. He also bowed.
"I have to get going now." Takaomi said.
"So soon?"
"I have paperwork to finish."
"Alright…"
"Later, Oji-Chan. Goodbye, Ms. Nakano…"
"Ah, goodbye, Gojou-San!" After that, Takaomi's grandfather, and Hana are both alone.
"You two were talking about the bet, weren't you?" Hana asked.
"Yes." Oji-Chan replied. "If you ever meet him again, please don't tell him that you know about the bet."
"I won't…" She replied. "Let's go back inside. Its getting chilly out here."
"Alright…" Hana helps Oji-Chan stand up. Together, they walk back the hospital. Before they entered, Hana glanced back at the school, then looked away.
"Hana-Chan?" Oji-Chan said.
"Y..Yes?" she stuttered.
"What's the matter?"
"Oh nothing. I was just thinking about something…"
