Lucius watches his absolutely gorgeous wife sing under the lit chandelier. It is a sight to behold. She has such a pure voice; it's so clear, unqualified perfection. It doesn't need to be cloaked with accompaniment. A symphony would just take away from the perfection of Narcissa's melodies.

On a silent night, he could listen to her for hours. He could gaze into her dark blue eyes, brushing her blonde hair out of them, so it didn't create a curtain, hiding herself from him. His own cynical eyes, hardened because of the heinous crimes of murder he created would look into her soft, understanding orbs, and he'd just know that he was in peace.

When her voice craved rest, he'd have the house elves make some fondue up for her. It's a Muggle food, something he'd never dream of ordering made, especially in his ancestral manor, but his beloved has a special fondness for threat, and Lucius can never deny her, no matter what it is that she wants.

Lucius strides forward and Narcissa doesn't halt in her melodic singing. His hands go to her bare shoulders, and she rests one of her hands on top of his.

He bends down and kisses the back of her neck, his lips lingering against her soft skin. When the last note is sung, Lucius whispers in her ear, "I love that song, especially when you sing it."

Narcissa turns her head, gently kissing Lucius's lips. "'Silent Night' is definitely one of my favorites."

"I guess Christmas is coming up soon, huh?" Lucius jokingly asks.

Narcissa giggles and breaks Lucius's hold so she can turn around, facing her husband. "Of course. You know I always kick off the holiday season with a tune." She wraps her arms around his neck, pressing her body close to his.

"I'm glad that's the song you chose this year."

"Me too. By the way, Draco floo'd. He and Astoria will be coming for Christmas morning. They have to go to Astoria's parents for Christmas afternoon. That's the compromise they were able to come up with."

Lucius chuckled. "Their first Christmas as a married couple. I was wondering how they'd do it. You know, you should sing when they're hair. Our daughter-in-law should hear your beautiful voice."

Narcissa smiles sweetly. "Maybe." She tilts her heard forward.

Lucius takes the hint, claiming her lip in a deep kiss, pouring all of his passion into it. Her hands tangle in his hair and his hands unzip the back of her dress, letting it fall from her delectable body. "I'm going to make love to you," he says against her lips.

"Can't wait," she breathes.

He leads her to their bathroom, lays her down on their bed, and with his mouth and hands, brings her unparalleled pleasure so she keens with need.

When they go to sleep, Lucius's arms are secure around her, keeping her safe, tucked close to his body. Her head rests on his shoulder, and she nuzzles his chest with her eyes close.

Lucius closes his eyes and drifts to sleep, hoping to sleep through the night, without being tortured by nightmares about acts he committed.
