History reflects upon those who create it. It is only as equally terrible and beautiful as it is made. Some people treasure it for this very reason, and others seek to forget those parts of it that cause an ache in their heart.
"We will not be taking her back" screamed a woman on the other side of the wall that my back was ungraceful slumped up against. "It's unnatural it's, it's just not right" stumbled another voice. Signing dramatically I pull myself of the cold marble floor and over to the small open window on the other side of the long corridor. It's always the same, foster parents always want a baby and at best a kid that is under five. Never the older children that have grow out of that cute stage and seem to be far more trouble than they are worth. It was only two weeks ago that the Clark's came along looking for a teenager as their own children had gone off to college only a few months prior. There was only three teenagers left in our orphanage because all the other children that were 'teenagers' where close to their eighteenth birthday some where only days away from being grated their freedom. The head of the orphanage, Mr Green believed that there was no point in placing these children for them only to pack up and leave their foster parents in a couple of months so he gaze fall on me.
He believed that I would be the best candidate for the couple as I was the youngest and quietist of the three, but here I am barely two weeks later getting kicked out my eighth foster home in five years. It's not that I am unlikeable or I made trouble at school I was just different. The sliding of wood on a marble floor broke my concentration on the street below, bring me back to the bitter reality that was my life. The door clicked a little way down the hall and out step the two Clark women both big in build and both with a disturbed look on their faces, when they saw me down the hall and realised that the only way to the main doors was past me, they started to walk very briskly past hugging the wall like it was their only life line.
"Mrs Winter's" barked the cold voice of the Mr Green, now I had done it. There is one thing that you should know about Mr Green, just one thing, cross him or make him angry and you are as good as died. After I had been kicked out of my fifth foster home, I was placed under solicitor confinement for a week and every time I got kicked out of another foster home two more days is added to that. So that makes it just less than two weeks all on my lonesome. As I walked through the arch way into his office the temperature seemed to drop a few degrees and the beautiful sun that was out seemed to abandon me.
As I turned the corner to face Mr Green's desk, the look of his face told me all I needed to know. Boy was I in trouble.
Please Read and Review. Many thanks :)
