Check Yes or No
Santana sighed as she stared at the clock. Only fifteen minutes left, and the weekend would be hers. Not that she had any exciting plans. Puck was still in Juvie, and Brittany…well, Brittany still wasn't talking to her. She sighed again as she glanced at the blonde, who was aimlessly flipping pages in her textbook. It had been a long and lonely week.
Not that she didn't deserve the silent treatment she was currently receiving. She should have just told Brittany the truth: that she wasn't just a substitute for Puck. That, in fact, Puck was the substitute. This week had made her realize exactly which "something warm" she missed more. She wished there was a way she could tell Britt how she felt - a way she would completely understand.
Suddenly, it hit her. She took out a sheet of paper and scribbled on it hastily. When she was done, she folded it, nudged Brittany, and placed it in the blonde's hand. Brittany quickly unfolded the note; a smile spread across her face as she read it. She reached for her pen to reply, and discreetly passed the not back to Santana. The Latina beamed when she saw that Brittany had checked "yes." The bell rang, interrupting Santana's reverie. She smiled at Brittany, and the two cheerleaders left class, pinky-in-pinky. Maybe the weekend would be kind of exciting after all, Santana thought to herself with a grin.
