Tony came home from work, one evening. "Hi, Jeannie," he said.
She popped up. "Hi, Master!" She hugged and kissed him. "Dinner will be ready, soon."
"Thanks. I thought this might interest you."
"What, Master?"
He gave her a flyer. It was for a NASA Beauty contest to be held a month from then.
"Oh, Master can I enter? Pretty please!"
"Yes, you can."
She gave him a big bear hug. "Oh, thank you!"
"But promise me one thing."
"What is that?"
"Don't use magic to make yourself the winner!"
"I promise, Master."
"Good girl!"
Then she blinked. A large tube appeared in the middle of the living room. It was filled with mud. And she was sitting in it! She had changed into a bathing suit. She rubbed the mud over herself.
"What are you doing, Jeannie?"
"I am taking a mud bath, Master. They are good for the skin!"
"Well, don't get any mud on my carpet, or furniture."
"Yes, Master! Oh, and. . . " She blinked. "Your dinner is on the table."
"Thank you, Jeannie."

She took a mud bath every day, for the next month. Tony even conceded that it made her skin softer.
She also rehearsed a sexy belly dance routine, using a band of musicians she blinked up.
A couple days before the contest, Mrs. Bellows treated her to a manicure and pedicure.

At last, the day came for the 1st Annual NASA Beauty Contest. It was held in a theatre at NASA's headquarters at 8:00PM.
Things went fairly well until it came time for the talent competition. There, several "accidents" occurred.
A contestant did a tap dance. During it, her left she became "glued" to the floor. She ended up taking it off and performing the rest of the routine with one foot bare.
The next girl did a modern dancer routine barefooted. The floor became slick, causing her to fall on her back! Fortunately, she was unharmed.
A 3rd girl sang "Stormy Weather." It began to "rain" on her, getting her soaked! She managed to finish the song, though. The audience laughed, thinking the rain was a part of her act!
But Tony didn't laugh; suspecting Jeannie, he went backstage to confront her.
"Jeannie, I thought I told you, no magic!"
"I haven't been using magic, Master."
"Well then, explain this!"
He pointed out the soaked singer. She was crying. One of the other girls gave her a towel and comforted her.
"And that's not all! One girl had her shoe glued to the floor, and another fell on her back, while dancing!"
"I'll bet I know who it is-my sister!"
"Your sister-that figures!"
"SISTER!"
She appeared. "Hi, darling!"
"Are you sabotaging the other girls?"
"I am merely helping out my favorite sister."
"Well, stop it!"
"Stop it?"
"Yes! That's an order, Sister!"
She sighed. "If you insist. But don't blame me if you lose!"
She disappeared.
No further mishaps occurred. Jeannie went onstage and performed her belly dance with her phantom band.
She ended up in second place; the soaked singer won the contest!
