Hello, I'm taking a break from the only Son for a while and giving you a humorous one shot. ENJOY.
Disclaimer: I don't own CoTT
"This is how it ends?" he asked. Cronus looked at the parchment of paper covered in rough writing.
"Yes it is sir," boomed a coarse voice with poor english.
"After all we've been through Agnon, how can you do this to me?"
The giant grunted, "Its time for me to move on."
Cronus, surprisingly calm, lay down the resignation paper. "So you manage to learn the basics of the language of these mortals, and you're ready to take on the world?"
The giant shrugged, clearly unsure of what he meant. "I'm hoping to become a preschool teacher. Fighting these teenagers has really opened up my mind to children. I understand that you did release me from tartarus and all, but I don't feel we aren't getting anywhere doing all this."
"But Agnon, don't you want to rule the world at my side? Together we can dominate. Don't tell me your surrendering to those kids."
"Well, it was prophecised that they would defeat you. Those things tend to come true. I don't want to wind up back in Tartarus again. I want to go do something with my life and make it something that is important to me."
"So you are surrendering."
"I wouldn't use those words but..."
"Yes. Yes you are."
"Think of it as more of moving on."
Cronus grunted. "So you would rather live like a feeble mortal than control the universe?"
Agnon thought to himself. "Joe seemed to fit in quite well."
Cronus held his forehead between his fingers. "Ah yes Joe. That is the last time I transform a henchman into an Anteater. But Agnon, Joe joined a colony of Anteaters who thought he was some sort of Anteater king. You will be trying to fit in with humans. They're a little smarter than Anteaters AND you."
Agnon stood up straight. "We have a black president, gays and other of other coiches and descents have rights, millions of minority groups manage to live well, if they can do it, so can I."
"B- but Agnon, I NEED you at my side! PLEASE!"
"Cronus sir, working with you has been a pleasure. Actually no, you exploited me for my lack of intelligence and muscle, barely paid me anything, made me work in unsafe environments and didn't even give me a pension package. But you did give me the chance to realize my passion; working with children. Thank you." And with that, Agnon left the cage.
"B-but Agnon!" It was too late. The giant was gone to pursue his dreams. Cronus simply slouched on his chair, annoyed and depressed.
"No Australia for you."
I thought that one up on holiday. I hope you lied it. I guess I owed you all something being a little AWOL. Act 3 for Only Son is still in progress, I have yet to figure out what really needs to happen and yadda yadda.
See you all next time.
