James Potter couldn't believe it. After all this time, he couldn't believe he finally did it. His heart was thumping hard in his chest, ready to jump out, if given the chance. He was so sure he would have been dead by now. But he was far from dead, far more alive. He had never felt this way before. He felt more alive, more vibrant.
How could I be so scared of this before? He asked himself. I should have done this before.
"James, you there?" Albus asked. James smiled at his little brother.
"Just thinking."
"You can think?" Albus scoffed.
The latter got a smack on the head from his brother. "Oww!" Albus rubbed the back of his head.
"So what were you thinking about?"
"Just- Why I didn't do this before?" James said.
"I had told you before. But you backed away. Some Gryffindor you were." Albus muttered.
"I didn't know this was supposed to be fun. And relaxing." James cried. "And I didn't chicken out if that's what you think little brother. I just wanted to be responsible for once."
Albus looked at his brother. It was hard to say the two were related since they were different- looks and personality. James was taller with muscular build. He had honey colored eyes and brunette hair that didn't look like it had been swept by the wind. Albus was slightly shorter and well build. He had jet black hair and emerald green eyes. James was the prankster, the fun guy while his brother was the nerd. James was the ladies man and like the attention while Albus was more into staying away from the crowd.
"Responsible? You? Please, my arse can make a better excuse than that."
James rolled his eyes. But what Albus said was true. James was never responsible. Never.
"Ok, fine. I was scared at first. I mean I had to be. What if I died? Or worse, what if I hurt myself so bad that I couldn't play Quidditch anymore?"
"You wouldn't have died." Albus sighed. "Even Mum and Dad did it. Mum told me once. Hell, even the muggles do it. And please, it was nothing compared to all the stunts you pull on your broom stick during Quidditch."
"Still, the cliff would have broken, or I would have drowned, or some weird shark would have made me his dinner." James replied, slightly frowning at his brother.
"It was just a cliff diving. The cliff wasn't that high for anyone to get hurt. And for the last time, sharks do not live in lakes." Albus shook his head. "It was just a dive brother."
