Title: Everything But A Lie... Or The Truth
Chapter 1: Crashing and A Smirk
By: Starrynights13
'Hmm... this is going to be an interesting year,' he thought to himself as he leaned against the wall and stared at the Hogwarts Express.
The Hogwarts Express. The one he had looked at and sat in for the past five years. The steam was whistling through the ears of the students, new and old, and their parents gathered on the station platform of 9 and 3/4.
'God, how boring,' he continued, pushing himself off the wall and then pushing through the crowd. He kept his head down as thought he didn't want to be see, even though it seemed everyone had their eyes on him. He knew what had happened over the summer wasn't his fault, but who would that he didn't do it.
"Oooff," he let the sound escape his lips as he fell to the ground. The person he had ran into stood their ground.
He looked up at who it was, the infamous Hermione Granger. She had her foot tapping impatiently on the stone cold, hard floor. She didn't bother to help him up, she just watched intently as he got up himself.
"Thanks for the help," he said sarcastically, flatting his robes.
"Mmmm.... not like you needed it. I see you got up just as well by yourself," Hermione said throwing on a smirk and soon bowed her head, while the brown-honey curls fell around her face, as a small chuckle escaped her lips into the air for all people to listen.
Just as she stopped, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley steeped through the crowd, placing a protective hand on her shoulders.
"'Mione, we should go before all the compartments are taken," Harry said taking her books from her arms.
"Malfoy! Did you do something to her, her face is blood-red," Ron said pushing Hermione behind him, but the boy named Draco Malfoy saw her head pop up behind Ron's, just to see the action.
"Now, Weasley. Where would you get such an idea? And besides, shouldn't you ask her," Malfoy said pointing behind Ron's head to a certain girl.
"Forget it, Ron. It isn't worth it," Harry and Hermione said in unison.
"Yeah, another time," Ron scoffed, taking one more glance at Malfoy, then turning on his heel, storming away. Harry followed in suit. Hermione turned around, like Malfoy, but then swirled around again.
"Malfoy," she said as he stopped and turned around.
"I'm sorry," she said and turned around and ran, ran away toward the train.
'Interesting year, indeed' Malfoy smirked, then turned toward the door to the west end of the train.
