Author's note: OK this is just another random one-shot based around New Years. Review and tell me what you think.

She can smell his cologne, the look in his eyes tells her everything she wants to know, and yet nothing at all. Is he starring into her soul, or simply starring through her? He smells good, sharp, the way she'd always dreamed of, and his presence alone is enough to send her head spinning out of control.
She's a little drunk, and he's very drunk, and perhaps she can dare make a move, because neither of them will recall it the next day. She wants to hold him, to kiss him, to feel his hands holding her waist, she wants him. One drunken night and two people, she knows that there are plenty of possibilities, but she only wants the one that involves making love to him and awakening in his arms the next morning.
And it's New Years, 11:58 and her mind is racing, her blood pounding through her veins with amazing force. She smiles and beside her Olivia and Elliot are talking, muttering things only they can hear, Fin, Cragen, Munch, Huang and Melinda chat with her but as the clock draws closer to midnight her thoughts are only of Munch.
Her vision is a little blurry; perhaps she is even more drunk than she originally thought, he's giving her that look, a mixture of longing and love, but she can't see it. Anyone looking from the outside could but not she, through her fears she could never accept what is so plainly in front of her.
And he's walking over to her now, leaning closer, and his scent is so strong, and her heart is pumping so loud that she swears everyone else can hear it. He's wrapping his arms around her, holding her closely; she thinks that she's dreaming, it couldn't possibly be happening. Perhaps she so drunk that she's hallucinating but it feels so real, and as his lips collide against hers it feels wonderful, like she's always imagined. Maybe it is a dream, but if so then it's a damn good one.
