Just another little something I thought up at the last minute tonight, and I had to release it from my mind quickly. The itch to do so was too great to disregard.

To the public's eye, Sebastian's chief purpose was to attend to his lord—as any natural butler should. A fine server, indeed; a tamed dog on a leash.

In the fellow servants' viewpoint, Sebastian desired nothing more but to keep their master safe from the darkness skulking within the deep corners of the world. Sebastian was always there for him after all, to save the day, ready to defend his master's life.

According to the young Earl Phantomhive, the demon that he dubbed Sebastian, was his rightful piece to move around the board whenever he wished it. Sebastian was meant to be his loyal accomplice throughout his journey towards the ultimate vengeance. To the very end of his time.

Yes, everyone had formed their own opinion of Sebastian eventually. And even if they turned out to be slightly different, their opinions as a whole had one detail in common.

Overall, Sebastian was a very contented man, capable of getting his tasks finished for his lord. He played the role down to the point.

However...no one knew Sebastian's true intentions better than Sebastian himself, of course.

What Sebastian really wanted to do...was to tear the spoiled brat apart, claw him down into vicious little bloody pieces. To slay the boy's pride. To devour his soul in one mean gulp. And when the morning's papers were titled:

The Queen's Watchdog, Claimed Dead!

He, on that very dawn, would want nothing more than to laugh out loud at his own job well done at getting his stomach's fill.

I know...

It's rather dark for Sebby; do I even dare ask for reviews?

But in my defense, I honestly feel like a number of fans overlook the demon's true nature. The author clearly follows the traditional Bibical/Christianity aspects of them, more so than the sort of nature-related demons found in regular Japanese Mythology.

And being as charming as he can be, how can we know for a fact that Sebastian's objectives are as steadfast as he displays? Personally, I would have a difficult time trusting him on the level Ciel does. Demons always try to trick humans so their wishes totally backfire into regret. This is just my opinion, but I think Ciel only understands half of what he got himself into really. I'm still waiting on edge for Sebastain to pull the rug from right under Ciel's feet.

Though anyways, thanks for the reader's time.
