I was reading Hetalia vampire stories one night when I started thinking of my own vampire story. What if a human and a vampire became roommates for reasons to be explained in future chapters?
Would they stay enemies? Become best friends? Or could they possibly fall in love?
Disclaimer: ... The characters in this story actually belong to me... so do the ideas... I have nothing to say currently as far as a disclaimer. I own this!
Can I Wear the Cape?
"The movie is going to start without us if you don't hurry!"
The human of the house shouted to the freeloader upstairs. Human did have a name; to others he was called Will- short for William. However, to the man upstairs, it was easier just calling him Human.
His reluctant roommate happened to be an energetic young vampire. How they met is a story for another time.
"Honestly…" Human sighed, "How long does it take for a vampire to get dressed?" He looked to his watch to check the time. "At this rate you don't get any popcorn!"
"No!" A childish cry came from upstairs. "I'm coming! I'm coming!" A crash sounded as Vamp hurried down the steps. "You may for an unrelated reason that was not caused by me, need a new vase for the fern."
"Another one?! How many times do I have to-…?" Human took a moment to assess what Vamp was wearing. The violet-haired creature was wearing black dress pants, button-up vest, white-collared dress shirt, and a long flowing black cape. Why?
"What are you wearing?"
"This is how the vampires dress in the movies! I thought, what if I dressed up for the movies?" He gave a proud smile at his logic. Human proceeded to massage his forehead as a headache slowly began forming in his skull.
"You are not wearing that outside."
"Aww! Why not?! All the other vampires in the movies do." Vamp tried to argue for his outfit.
"Two reasons I will mention. First, these movies take place over two hundred years ago. Second, human actors walk around in their underwear, but you don't see me stripping." Vamp thought over the information for a few moments.
"That can be compromised." He crossed his arms and looked over the other. "You aren't horrible looking."
"No. I am not stripping." Human's tone left no room to argue further, but somehow Vamp squeezed back into the conversation.
"How about unbuttoning your shirt?" His suggestion was struck down by Human's piercing blue-eyes glare.
"Just one button? Just your top button?"
With a tired sigh, Human undid the first button on this shirt. "There. Now go change."
Vamp ran back upstairs.
"We already missed the first showing!"
Vamp came back down after changing out of his suit; however, the cape remained. Human raised a brow.
"Fully unbuttoned shirt for the cost of the cape." Vamp pointed at the remaining buttons on Human's shirt.
"… You can wear the cape." Human said in a defeated tone.
"Yay!" Vamp skipped to the door. Human could not stop a small smile from curving against the corner of his lips. Sometimes Vamp was more like a child than a fifty-year-old vampire… and a child always needs someone to watch over him.
"Guess I'm stuck with him." Human smiled as he followed Vamp.
The first adventure of Human and Vamp!
