Author's Note: It seems to me that there are no Babylon 5: Legend of the Rangers fics on this site, let alone on the web at all (if I'm wrong about this, please forgive me), so I decided to write one. This idea came to me late at night while watching old episodes and that particular movie. Feedback is wholeheartedly welcomed.
Do not ask me when it happened, truth be told, I do not rightly know. All I can tell you is that I cannot get her out of my mind. It is wrong. We are Anla'shok, we are comrades, and...dare I say, friends. And yet, when I look at her, I cannot help but be drawn to the rosy-redness of her lips, the peaches'n'cream complexion of her undoubtedly soft skin. I am then further drawn to the feminine curves of her lithe form.
No. I must resist. I can never be. Humans andMinbari may indeed share souls, but a Minbari clan would never accept a non-Minbari in the fold. Sheridan and Delenn were a special case, both great leaders in their own right. The Mir clan accepted Sheridan for his strength, his courageousness. Sarah Cantrell possesses both these qualities in abundance, but my clan is not as progressive as the Family of Mir.
If I were to pursue Ranger Cantrell against my clans wishes, I would be banished from Minbar, never to see my amily and friends again. Could such a thing be worth it?Someone once said: All love is unrequited. Perhaps that is true, but maybe, just maybe, some love is worth the risk of exile.
I may be Minbari, but I am still a male, and a male has needs than can only be fulfilled by those of a certain persuasion.
My truths:
I am Anla'shok...
I an male...
I am Dulann of the Family of Nol.
OoOoOoOoOoOo
Sarah Cantrell discreetly watch Dulann from across the crowded control room of the Liandra.
Don't ask me when it happened, truth be told, I don't rightly know. All I can tell you is that I can't get him out of my mind...
