Greetings from author:
Hi! This is my first fanfiction story that I'm publishing, so go easy on me. This is my take of what Finn was thinking before 'Faithfully'. You know... when he said, "I love you."*giggles*
Sorry. *cough* Anyway. Enjoy! Reviews are very much appreciated/liked. But if you don't want to, it's fine. :)
STAY
Fixing his tie one last time, he was excited and nervous. A feeling that was both exhilarating and sickening.
He sighed and glanced at her.
She was fixing her hair (for some unknown reason, her hair was always awesome) and smiled at him.
He got that butterfly feeling in his stomach (he knows it's gay, but he can't stop it).
She was really pretty tonight. She was always pretty, but more of in an endearing way. Her skirts and animal sweaters were really cute, but not necessarily attractive. But tonight, she looked very attractive.
But he didn't care about how she looked or how she dressed. She was always beautiful to him. Why? Because he loved her. He really did. It wasn't teenage love, he decided. This time it was the real deal. He could feel it. She touched his heart but this time he wasn't going to run away from her. He was going to let her know.
Palms sweaty and his stomach in knots, he approached her. Luckily, she didn't wait for him to come all the way; she took a few steps forward and smiled before saying, "Break a leg."
This it, Finn. Now or never. Just say it!
"I love you." He told her. No speech, no reasons why, no logical explanation. And why should he have an explanation? There was no specific reason why he loved her. He loved her for who she is. And that was important enough, he reassured himself.
He was quite confident of his declaration but mentally slapped himself when he saw her confused half-smile.
For a split second, when she didn't immediately reply, he thought they were over. But then he saw her smile. A smile that was so sincere and so beautiful, that he was content with his decision.
She didn't have to say it back because he knew. He knew that she loved him too and he knew that there was hope for them. He knew that they would make it.
Walking back to his original position, he felt at peace.
The music started and he gave her one last smile. A smile, he hoped, that would sum up everything he was feeling.
She smiled back and that feeling, the feeling of contentment, entered his heart, and it lingered there throughout the performance.
He hoped it would stay in his heart for a long time. Just like she would.
FIN
Author's Note:
Get the end? Fin? Hahaha. Um, anyway. Yeah. Sorry for the fluffy ending. But it suits them, I think.
I love that Finn didn't overdo do it when he said "I love you." *giggles*. It was very 'Finn'. Simple, honest, and straight-forward.
I LOVE FINCHEL. I will kill a producer if they're not a legit couple next season!
Riiight. You guys are still reading this. Sorry.
Anyway.
Thanks for reading! Have a great daaaaay, my fellow Glee fanatics! :)
