There was a scream like a cat, and Donald was blasted backwards, hitting a wall with a slam. A minute later, Goofy followed, falling down next to his partner. Sora spun around, staring at the sight in shock.

A momentary lapse in focus. That was all. They were hurt because of Sora's momentary lapse in focus.

He turned back to the floating figure of Riku's shadow. Or maybe it didn't belong to Riku, and was merely a Heartless. Whatever it was, it was strong as hell. It's attacks were blinding, most coming in flashes of light, and even with the trio he was difficult. Now, Sora was alone. He knew they weren't dead, because they were protected by charms granted to them by their king, and they'd regain consciousness soon enough, but for the most part, Sora was all alone. Alone because of his momentary lapse in focus.

Trying to drive all of his attention on the battle, Sora gritted his teeth, shifting his grip on the Keyblade. He had to win, he had to win alone, and he had to win at all costs as soon as possible.

No more lapses in focus. No more distraction.

No more fear.
