This is just going to be a collection of one-shots of Bucky after Winter Soldier and before Civil War.
Disclaimer: I don't own Marvel, all I own is my storyline.
Please review!
Bucky had a lot to think about.
After he had saved that strange man (Steve, he reminded himself. His name was Steve), he had bolted. He wasn't sure where he was at this point, but he knew he was near a large body of water. He could hear waves crashing on a beach as he trudged along in the dark.
After shoving through an especially large clump of underbrush, Bucky found himself on a small beach. Glancing around, he vaguely recognized the area. Suddenly, his head started pounding, swirling with memories and he scrunched his eyes shut as he clutched his skull.
When he opened his eyes he saw younger versions of himself and Steve, looking about nine. They ran past Bucky, stripping off their their button down t-shirts and tossing them on the sand. The Winter Soldier watched as the two proceeded to have a water fight. The two laughed and played, together joyfully, when the scene vanished and the man was left alone on the beach.
Bucky's chest constricted as he remembered that day. When they finally tired out, they had sat down on the beach together.
"We'll always be best pals, right Buck?" Steve had asked.
"Of course we will. Till the end of the line, right?" Bucky had replied, quoting an old film they had seen that day.
A single tear slid down Bucky's cheek.
"Till the end of the line," he whispered to the stars.
The stars twinkled back in reply.
He smiled.
Thank you so much for reading this! I wanted some fluff concerning where "Till the end of the line" came from. BTW, the beach is at the Chesapeake Bay in MD.
Thanks again, and please review!
