I don't own Aslan, but He rules over me and all of us

I know a Lion.

No! Not that sort of Lion! This one is not in a zoo, for He is not a tame Lion.

No! This Lion is a huge Lion, a powerful Lion. If He is angry-which is rare, for He is slow to anger-His roar is loud enough to shake the very stars in the heavens.

The Lion I know is gentle and kind, for it is not right to set store in power and strength of body, but in strength of faith and hope. This Lion is sweet to the little ones who cling to his sweet-smelling mane and hug Him for all they're worth.

The Lion I know is a loving Lion above all, for he is a self-sacrificing Lion. He died so that people could live free of sin and fear.

The Lion I know has many names: the Alpha and Omega, Shiloh, the Bread of Life…

…you may know Him, actually. Probably you do. Have you heard of Jesus Christ? Of God, Our Father in Heaven?

Yes, that's the one I'm talking about! What, you didn't think He was a Lion?

If He could come to us as a lowly human, then I think he wouldn't mind being a Lion at all.

Hang on, Mum, I'm coming!

I'm so sorry, but my mummy's calling that it's suppertime. That's something I wouldn't want to miss!

…What's that? Another name for the Lion? Oh! Yes, I thought that you might have heard of Aslan!

Hang on, Mummy! I'm coming!

Good-bye! Have a lovely day! Oh, and by the way, LONG LIVE ASLAN!
