"Come on Gerry get out of bed." Sandra said as she stood at the foot of their bed having got dressed, had breakfast and done her hair.

"I'm not well." Gerry tried.

"Liar."

"Fine, but I'm not getting up."

"Why?"

"I can't, its better for everyone if I stay in bed today." Gerry sighed.

"Why would you think that?"

"It's cursed, the day is cursed babe."

"I'll probably regret asking this but how on earth is it cursed?!"

"Every year on this day something bad happens."

"Such as?"

"One year Caitlin broke her leg when she was out with me, another a criminal managed to get away because I couldn't keep up."

"Any of that could happen any day to anybody."

"But it didn't."

"Cone on Gerry or I'm sure your boss will punish you for being late."

"Even if she's late too?" He asked pulling her onto the bed.

"Yes. She can be a cow like that." She said as he kissed her. "Although if your still nervous about today and need calming then she might think about letting it slide this time."

"Where have you been?" Steve asked as he and Dan sat at their desks.

"I think that's obvious." Dan replied, answering the question that wasn't directed at him.

"I don't think we need to get into that, anyway we're here now." Sandra replied.

"Gerry you're with me." Sandra said as she delegated tasks.

"Is that really a good idea?" Steve joked only to be met by Sandra's icy glare. When she was trying to get Gerry out of bed she'd had to agree to stay with him all day, so that's what she was doing. They walked down by the river on the way to a suspects chatting randomly while trying to stay professional by not holding hands.

"See nothing's gone wrong yet!" Sandra smiled.

"It's only 2pm, there's still 10 hours left of today."

"Fine but if we get to midnight with nothing bad having happened then you owe me a drink."

"It's 12 babe." Sandra smiled as they lay in each others arms.

"Yeah it is."

"Nothing bad happened did it?"

"No, I think it's you. You changed my luck."

"God you're so soppy sometimes."

"You wouldn't have me any other way."
