Prompt: And that's when I stopped believing in gravity
Words: 242

I had never really given much thought to gravity. It was something that was just there, y'know? I know, I know, they teach the whole Issac Newton bit in school where the apple fell from the tree and hit him in the head and bam! Gravity.

But it had always been there. I think it would be stranger to not have gravity. Why am I thinking about gravity?

Apples.

A whine left my throat as I stared up at the tree. For once the limbs were too high for me to reach in my wolf form, even if I jumped. Shame too, those apples looked damn good… Hm, maybe if I ran and hit the tree I could knock a few down…

Backing up a good distance I started to run at the tree… and promptly stumbled and fell. Now, I didn't trip on a hidden root or anything of that nature, no. I was blinded. Or at least distracted. Something sparkling had caught my attention. Some hunter must have left a glass bottle in the woods and the sun hit it just right…

Standing I shook out my fur and turned to see if that's what it was. That's when I saw him. That's when I smelled him… the Cullen who could play with emotions…

That's when I stopped believing in gravity as it had been taught to me. None of that mattered anymore. Only he mattered. He was my gravity.
