"Have I told you, that you look like the sun?" The darker boy asked.
"Only about five times, in the last thirty minutes", laughed the other.

It was true though. At this exact time, every morning, the sun shined through the window of their room, to hit Newts neck, making his hair look like dancing gold, or fire. Alby was fast to comment, that it made the tall, blond boy look like the sun or an angel. Alby preferred angel, but Newt preferred sun, if Alby absolutely had to call him something, so Alby obligated. Moreover, he mentioned it, every time he had the privilege to see it, which was quite often, considering the fact that they shared a room. Newt would laugh every time Alby said it, either that, or roll his eyes at him, still smiling though. Alby loved that smile. When the taller boy smiled like that, it seemed that everything would be okay. That they could be in that stupid maze forever but they would survive, because Newt still had his smile and his hair that glowed in the sun.
Beautiful. The sight was absolutely beautiful, making Alby want to stay in his bed all day, just to watch Newt smile at him like he did now. Alby was the only person who allowed witnessing that, making it even more beautiful, if you asked him.

They shared a room. Their beds were right across from one another, close enough for them to reach each other if necessary. Alby's bed stood towards the wall, while Newt's were pushed away, making it possible for the little miracle in Newt's hair to happen every day.
Newt probably didn't know how amazing he looked. His eyes were closed, but he still smiled, clearly awake, but probably too tired to open his eyes. Alby didn't mind, since it gave him more time, to study the boy's face, without creeping him out, but he couldn't help it.

The dark-skinned boy could not help but feeling proud of the fact, that he was the only one who saw this. They weren't dating. They did not have an intimate relationship, but they did have something. Neither of them could explain what, but it didn't matter. They were happy like that. They did not kiss, but sometimes, late at night Newt would wake him up, force him to get dressed, just to go outside and lay in the grass, looking at the stars. Silly little things like that was enough for Alby to feel the butterflies in his stomach go nuts. Their shoulders would touch, and their fingers would lightly brush against each other. Little things like that made Alby want to stay in that moment forever, but at some point they had to stop, and they would go back to their beds, and Alby would feel a longing in his chest. But he would have to wait till morning, when he would be greeted with the fire-like hair and that gorgeous smile, that the taller boy possessed.

"We have to get up! Our babies are waiting!" Newt joked, as he got up to put on his clothes, forcing Alby to move past his dreamy thoughts and into the real world.

At least the real world still had Newt.
