The Night is Come
By Megan@Midnight
A starless night, all day every moment. All moments are dark and silent. Sheldon Sands was never a night person. In the light he was bright and shining, showing himself to the world. Now he lives in the night. When he's out and about in the world, he's careful, cautious, quiet. When he's alone (he's always alone), he runs, he screams against the night, the all encompassing darkness that surrounds him. He knows he has the bruises to prove it, even if he can't see them for the dark. He rages, ferocity untamed and unchecked by the walls of his place, the night in his eyes. He's very lucky not to have broken a bone. He can feel when the sun sets, when the dark come over the sky. Night falls only over the places it isn't already. Night fell on him and there isn't a star in the sky. It's very dark for Sheldon Jeffrey Sands. Day never breaks and the sun never rises. He has bruises, black on his skin. He bleeds in the dark. He bleeds and the night is in his eyes. Sands bleeds at night, all night long. Alone under a starless sky.
