Mr. Cellophane

Felix had no idea how lucky he was.

Every time the game ended, it was another medal to add to his collection, pie and penthouse parties. What did Ralph get? Mud in his face and a pile of bricks he called home.

Even though being the villain was his role in the game, he wished everyone else didn't have to look at him strangely. All the limelight went to Felix. It was like Ralph wasn't there at all. There wouldn't be a 'Fix-It Felix Jr.' without a "Wreck-It Ralph'. It was a complete set. The game couldn't have one without the other.

Who was the villain to the hero in the story? Who was the cause of all the smashed windows and the broken bricks? How did Felix get all those medals in the first place?

It was Ralph.

He was programed to be the villain in the first place. He had no choice. He couldn't get out of his fixed role.

Yet, they shunned him for all he did because of it.

He was a part of the game as much as Felix, yet nobody wanted him in the penthouse. Just because he played the villain, doesn't mean he was a villain. He wished at least one of them could see that.

No matter how hard he tried to get them to notice, they'd disregarded him in a heartbeat. No matter what he did, they turned their heads away from him.

From the echos of laughter and music in the penthouse, it was like he was never there at all.

Everyone gets noticed, now and then
Unless, of course, that personage should be
Invisible, inconsequential me!

I tell ya, Mister Cellophane shoulda been my name
Mister Cellophane
'Cause you can look right through me
Walk right by me
And never know I'm there

Hope I didn't take up too much of your time...

Note*~

I was on John C. Reilly's Wiki page, and I saw that he was Amos Hart in 'Chicago'. His character sang 'Mr. Cellophane', and I thought it suited Ralph's character as well. :)

Hope you like!
