AN: Dorry this is a re-upload because I just realized that I deleted this story accidentaly. :S My bad, guys. Please review (or re-review) if you enjoy the TV show 'Monk'! Thanks!

Monk walked into the gates of the zoo, refusing to have his hand stamped by the signature logo. Sharona has already lost her patience from having to bear the indignity of a grown man screaming and running away from the stamp with the picture of an elephant on it. She was not in the mood for anymore of Monk's… needs.

"Why- Why do we have to come here?" Monk stammered.

"Because," Sharona said through gritted teeth, "Benji wants to go."

Monk glanced at Benjamin who was wistfully staring at the cotton candy.

"Benji," Monk began, "you don't want to stay here do you? It's filthy and--"

"Don't manipulate my son," Sharona cried. "If you don't want to stay here, then leave."

"I—I didn't want to stay alone at home," he wasn't looking at Sharona; he was counting the fences' wooden planks.

"Odd," he whispered.

"What?" Sharona said.

"The fence. There are 21 wooden planks on the fence," he looked at Benji. "Please break one."

"What?" Sharona and Benji asked; Sharona was angry but Benji just sounded amused.

"I will pay you 15 dollars to knock one of the wooden planks off," Monk pleaded. He was sweating, not from heat. He was sweating from how anxious these wooden planks were making him.

Sharona was indignant and well beyond herself. "Adrian! Listen to me! You will not bribe my son to vandali—"

"I'll do it," Benjamin supplied quickly.

"Say what?" Sharona said, her voice low and her eyes narrowed.

Benjamin had seen that look on his mother's face. It read trouble.

"Well," he said quickly, "Technically it is Mr. Monk's money and he has the right to do whatever he wants with it and—"

"And technically you are my son and I have the power to ground you forever!"

Benji thought about it until Monk whispered to him, still staring at the fence: "Fifty bucks."

That sealed the deal for Benji.

"ADRIAN!" Sharona yelled.

Monk paid her no heed and watched with satisfaction as Benji kicked one of the planks until it splintered and broke down. Then, knowing Monk, he carefully gathered the pieces and shoved them into the trash can.

Benji moved toward Monk proudly and collected his fee. Monk made to pat him on the back but accidently brushed Benji's face, which was filled with dirt.

Monk snapped his fingers and glanced, for the first time on Sharona's enraged face.

"Wipe," he said calmly.

AN: For my Monk-obsessed friend! Maybe I'll make a few more chapters about their trip to the zoo… If you like them :) Reviews?
