Disturbed Sleep
Joey settled down in his boyfriend's arms. They were in Seto's fancy assed bedroom. The big cushy bed with curtains, actual curtains like the old timey beds in the old black and white movies. Joey couldn't be happier. Mokuba, gone for the night on his own sleepover. The maids served a yummy dinner and they snuggled on the couch. They started to make out and finished upstairs. Due to their mutual inexperience, there was some fumbling, giggling and finally hotness. Joey will be sore in the morning but it was Sunday tomorrow and they can take their time.
Joey cuddled into his boyfriend's chest and sighed. Seto was already asleep, Joey was nearly there. Except for a pounding, a dull pounding in his head? The sound was out of sync with Seto's heartbeat. Joey couldn't have that. He raised his head to hear it properly. It wasn't a pounding or a knock, it was a tick. The tick of a clock. The sound identified, Joey rested his head back on Seto's chest set on ignoring it.
But Joey couldn't ignore it. The awful tick was out of sync with Seto's heartbeat. Joey, being human, his heart beats with his boyfriend's heart. The clock was inhumanly out of sync and disturbing his sleep. Joey could swear it was getting louder. Echoing off the walls, pounding in his head, and drumming a rhythm throughout his body. Joey could stand it no longer, he sat up. The sudden movement and cold air woke up his boyfriend at last.
"Joey? What's wrong?"
Joey was soothed by the concern in Seto's voice. Seto clicked on the lamp.
"Seto? How can you sleep with this ticking clock?"
"Ticking? Clock?"
For the first time Seto realized the antique clock that was in his bedroom long before he took possession of it, ticked.
"The tick of the clock bothers you?" Asked the boyfriend.
"Yeah, I can't sleep." Sighed Joey.
Joey looked so miserable, Seto sympathized immediately. He gave his boyfriend (looking too cute as he pouted and with his bedhead) a kiss on his cheek. Joey cheered up because of the affection.
"It's easily solved puppy. We can move the clock outside the room, somewhere, and I'll have the maid put it in some other room."
"That'll be great dragon baby."
The boys kissed in agreement. Climbing out of bed, they found the offensive clock, carried it out of the room, and found a place for it. It was large and heavy but the young men managed it easily. Joey insisted on the clock being set down half way down the hall. They were naked and therefore scurried back to their warm bed. They got giggly again and settled down. Joey snuggled back into place. Seto cuddled him close and kissed the top of his head. Joey fell asleep contented to be with his surprisingly nice boyfriend. Seto felt it was counterintuitive to be unkind to one's boyfriend and treated Joey as well as his brother. Seto stayed awake until Joey was asleep at last and drifted off.

I can't sleep in a bedroom with a ticking clock. My experience is just like Joey's, they tick out of sync with your heart and echo so loud. It's unforgivable. Such clocks must be banished.
Sweet dreams peeps.
