Time for a new Darksiders story, my third attempt I believe. In this, my OC George/Bladewolf, is the Champion/Mercenary for the Charred Council, which means he does different jobs than the Horsemen. It's hard to explain, but let's just say he gets paid when he completes a job for the Council.

Also, before some of you bitch about me copying HandassassinSpider-man's Darksiders story, I talked with him about it, and he gave me permission to use some of his content, as long as I don't make my storyline EXACTLY similar to his, and trust me I don't. While HandassassinSpider-man's has a storyline with a long lost Nephilim that wants to possibly resurrect the rest of the hybrid creations, mine is a WHOLE lot different.

Anyway, in terms of power, since he is powered by the Council along with his own abilities, George can take on each Horseman, but probably not a combined assault of all four, War, yes, Strife, probably easy, Fury, will have a difficult one, Death, well...that will be a helluva fight that probably makes Freddy and Jason's look like Child's play.

Also, while my OC isn't a Horseman, he stills rides a Horse, Shadowmere, so most people will nickname him Shadow Rider. If he was a Horseman, they'd nickname him that as everyone does when any of the Four are around.

Anyway, this IS a Harem story, which consists of; Fury, Lilith, Morrigan (Darkstalkers), that's all I have for now, but I may look for more. Uriel will NOT be in the harem, I don't like her. She reminds me of one of those bitches that really pisses you off for no reason at all.

I do not own anything except any OC that appears In this story. Anything to do with Darksiders and Darkstalkers belong to their rightful creators.

There can be no Life without Order. Good, Evil...darkness, light, there must be Balance in the Universe. Such is the decree of the Charred Council, an Ancient body charged by the Creator to preserve the very fabric of existence. Since the dawn of time, the armies of Heavan and Hell have waged an endless war, a war of which the Charred Council was drawn to. In time, Heavan and Hell came to honor the Council and their laws. For none were beyond the swift and terrible justice of the Council's enforcers, the fearsome brotherhood of the Four Horsemen; War, Fury, Strife, and Death.

Amid the turmoil came the very first humans, and so the Kingdom of Man was named by all of Creation. A pact was formed that the End War between Heavan and Hell will not happen until the Kingdom of Man was ready for such a war, one of which they were still not ready for. But one human had shown such promise to take place in the End War when it happens, a human with Immortality and powers of his own, a human that has lived since Ancient times on Earth. The Council, needing to keep his power in check or else he threatens the Balance, had him named their Mercenary/Champion. But now, he had once again been summond by the Council, over the centuries he has gotten many names, Demon Slayer, Shadow Rider, Bladewolf, but his real name is...

"George! " The first head roared. "What excuse do you have this time in taking too long to answer our summons?!"

"Was busy dealing with that job you sent me to do, the one with slaughtering a group of demons that invaded the Maker's home. I hope I'm getting paid good money for that one." George said in a sassy tone, crossing his arms over his chest. He was wearing a long black, leather, hooded trench coat, a black shirt, with a black vest of sorts over it, a pair of black trousers, black military boots, and black leather gloves. He had brown eyes, and long shoulder length black hair. His coat's hood was up, giving a more intimidating aura to him.

His weapons were listed as; a sword named Wolfsbane sheathed on his back, two modified handguns in their holsters on his legs, and a in the space between his knuckles is three Adamantium claws, do NOT ask how he got that, it's a complicated story, one George will NEVER tell.

He also had other power like inhuman strength, e was a superhuman if you will. He also had powers, control over the elements like Fire, Earth, Water, etcetera. He was very powerful, powerful enough to take on even Death himself, but he knew he wouldn't win a fight with all Four Horsemen unless he grew stronger, and more powerful.

"Be that as it may, our summons are not to be delayed for a moment, Mercenary!" The third head threatened, but George just waved it off. This isn't the first time the Council had given him threats, like they do the Horsemen, but he mostly shrugged them off, not exactly caring. He wasn't fully loyal to the Council, he's a Mercenary their loyal to themselves, but he wasn't going to tell them that.

As long as they paid good money, they'll have no problems from him.

"What do you want this time?" George said, wanting to know this job, leave, do the job, come back and get paid for the two jobs he has done.

"We have a new job for you, Shadow Rider." The second head spoke, George raised an eyebrow under his hood as he looked between all three heads.

"An ancient threat has returned, one that could destroy all that has been made!" The first head spoke as George now uncrossed his arms, getting more interested.

The superhuman Mercenary then decided to point out. "If this threat is a threat to the Balance, then why don't you have the Four deal with this?"

"That is the very reason we have summoned you here." The third head spoke. "This is a threat the Four cannot know about. Tell us, what do you know of the Nephilim?"

George frowned as he once more crossed his arms. "I know that they were creations of Lilith, the first being Absalom. The Nephilim put countless to the sword and burned worlds, then the Four betrayed them and slaughtered them in favour of you lot. You gave them power and their first task as you're enforcers were to destroy their own brethren. This isn't exactly uncommon knowledge, everyone except humans know of the Nephilim purge at the hands of the Four and the Angels of Heavan." He said, wondering why they wanted him to speak of this.

"And it was believed that all of the Nephilim, bar the Four, were wiped out." The first head spoke up.

"But...?" George trailed off, just knowing there was a but there.

"One still lives!" The third head revealed.

George's eyes narrowed. "...is that right?"

"It may be hard to believe, but reports from us and Azrael have confirmed a Nephilim is still alive." The second head said as George paced a little, thinking about this new revelation.

He then asked. "So, why did you summon me? If this is a Nephilim, then have the Four take care of it, as far as I'm concerned they missed a stain and now they should clean it. Why should I do what the Horsemen missed? They were thorough in their first mission for the Council."

"Because, their is a...strain between us and them. This Nephilim could either be wanting revenge on the Four and the Council, or will be finding ways to resurrect the Nephilim." The first head spoke. It probably stung their pride, if they had any, to admit this.

"That's impossible." George said with a shake of his head.

"The Nephilim have been known to do the impossible because of their blood as Angel and Demon, observe the long lost Nephilim. " The third head said and a portal appeared in front of George, showing his target.

He was probably a few inches bigger than George, seemed to be a sort of Anthropomorphic Hellhound or something, a hooded cloak covered his head but his eyes were a hellfire type of colour, George saw this Nephilim had claws for fingernails and a sword as a weapon, this may be a formidable enemy as the Nephilim were very strong creatures, only the Four could win easily in a fight unless it was one like Absalom. The Nephilim also had a sort of black armour he hadn't seen before, probably a type that has went out of date since the time of the Nephilim.

"Who is he?" George asked, looking at the Council.

"He calls himself... The Bloodhound." The second head spoke up as the image disappeared. "We want you to find him, track him down, and put him down like a rabid hound. The Four must be kept in the dark about this, they get too...attached to situations involving the Nephilim, the Abominations Vault is an example."

George gave a 'hmm' as he thought about that event. He probably would have met the Four then, but he was busy dealing with something else in another world in the Universe. "So, you, and whoever else knows, want me to hunt down this Nephilim, find out what he's up to, then kill him before the Horsemen catch wind of this...anything else I'm forgetting?" He said, ending that last part sarcastically.

"You're mission is simple, Mercenary. Find this Nephilim, discover how he is alive, then kill him before he can become too much of a threat to the Balance!" The first head spoke.

George nodded before walking away. "I'll Inform you when the deed is done." He then muttered under his breath. "I better be getting paid very good money for this."

"Boy!" The third head spoke up. "Where will you go to start you're mission? "

George didn't stop as he said just one thing.

"Hell."

Well, that's this chapter done. Hope you liked it.

Next chapter will be George going to Hell, only one demon can help him with finding out about this Nephilim.

By the way, the Bloodhound is one of my OC's, originally the second in command of Bloodwolf's Promethean army.

I tried to get the Charred Council's attitude right, which I hope I did, can't make them look soft can I?
