Daina was more than a dainty and weak woman when she donned that suit.
She felt powerful and knew that Amelia felt that way too.
After all, their was more than just being a hero and a sidekick.
The two of them had known each other for years.
They had met as young children, and somehow Daina had become a part of Amelia's dream.
Daina smiled again as she left for a normal day fighting crime by Amelia's side.
Daina smiled at the warm hand entwined tightly with hers.
"Daina, you've stayed by my side the whole time and have fought hard to protect me and everyone else. You've been my slice of life and my hero, and so I brought you here to ask you one question despite my awkwardness right now: will you marry me?" Amelia had let go of Daina's hand at the start of her speech.
Amelia had now dropped down to one knee.
"Yes." Daina felt happy while tears gathered at her eyes as she answered her love and hero.
Through all these years, love wed a hero and her sidekick in more ways than the obvious ones.
