(Yoshi! I am home. It is so good to be home. Even the extremely serious chewing out by not only my parents, my grandparents, my maternal grandparents on the telephone from overseas, no less, and almost everybody else even slightly connected to me did not dim the heartening feeling of home. Sigh. ╯﹏╰ )

(On another note, this new short chapter of my latest story is just to let everyone know I am home. But you already know that, now, right? (・o・) )

(私の守護天使)

In a pristine totally white environment, a winged tall individual was displaying non-angelical behavior.

"She can't do this to me! I have loved her for almost an eternity. She can't just fall in love with some delinquent idiot!" The bright color of the fuming angel's hair seemed to glow with the angel's anger as well.

His fellow angel sighed in displeasure.

"I know the feeling." She mumbled.

"Huh? What did you say?"

She looked at him with irritation written all over her annoyed face. "You have looked after her for what seemed almost like an eternity. Perhaps it is due to her clumishness and you fretting over her. But it has only been a few years. You have developed affection for the girl. You loved her... as her Guardian Angel." Seeing he was about to protest, she put up her hand to stop him from uttering a single word.

"You cannot love, love her. She is a normal human teenage girl who at seventeen has just experienced her first real inkling of what is beyond a crush. He could be the one for all you know. Promise me you will not do anything to jeopardize our princess's chance for her 'Happily Ever After'." She pleaded with him.

He gave out a scornful snort.

His handsome face was filled with contempt for the other one.

"She is my princess. My Angel. And I am the one for her. Only I can give her, her happy ending." His bright eyes flashed with determination.

The female angel hit him first before exclaiming in disbelief, "You cannot be serious! You do know, you and her will never be together, right?"

There was no grudgingly agreement.

"Answer me." She ordered.

And he did.

But it was not what she has expected.

"So, Orihime. You are really going to do it. You are going to confess to that dense idiot today." Arisawa Tatsuki asked rather loudly to her best friend.

Immediately there was silence in the classroom as the information sank in, then the noise level raised again as the buzz went round the classroom as to whom the idol of the school was going to give her heart to.

The boys started to preen themselves and hoped they were the lucky one.

The girls glared enviously at the auburn-haired princess and hoped the one they like was not the chosen one, for who can complete with her.

Who in their sane mind will turn down someone like her?

Feeling everbody's eyes on her, the embarrassed beauty felt her heated cheeks with her small hands.

"Hush, Tatsuki-chan. Not so loud. Everybody is staring at us." She cautioned her friend.

Tatsuki grinned. "They are only looking at you, my princess."

"Tatsuki-chan ~ " Inoue Orihime whispered whiningly to her teasing friend.

"That's just it, Orihime. You are going to have to get use to being stared at, whether longingly by your rejected suitors or resentfully by the same group... or in jealousy by almost everybody else when the two of you become 'The Couple' of the whole school. Tatsuki's mischievous grin got bigger as Orihime's eyes grew wider.

"Tatsuki-chan, we don't even know if he likes me." Orihime said sadly, self-deprecatingly.

Now it was Tatsuki's eyes that widen in astonishment, she was about to admonish the modest princess for belittling herself when the weaver princess's cow-herder prince came strolling into the classroom with his entourage.

Tatsuki nudged her blushing friend, "Aren't you going to greet your 'destiny'?"

Orihime tried to glared at her evil friend but it must not be intimidating with her face all rosy red.

She started to lift her thin arm and she was ready to sing out her usual cheery greeting to him when their eyes met.

Eyes locked onto each other.

There was no denying it.

Love was in the air.

Suddenly, the timid girl remembered what she was planning to do today and she quickly looked away.

Heart thundering away, she was going to need all her strength for her confession.

The one who was going to be confessed to looked in bewilderment at the bowed head of the auburn-haired classmate.

Where the hell was his 'Good Morning'?

That was one of the best thing of coming to school.

He looked forward to it every morning.

In fact he craved for it.

It was almost a sinful addiction.

And...

She was his drug.

He seeked enlightenment from his friends.

All he gotten from them was...

Nothing.

He scowled at them.

He turned his attention back to the shy beauty, her face was still hidden from him. He turned to her best friend. Tatsuki gave him a shrug of the shoulders.

Once again, his disappointed eyes wandered back to her.

And

Arisawa Tatsuki saw what her timid friend missed when she hid her soft honey eyes from the one she has lost her heart to.

A warm lingering look full of love.

She whooped, on the insides, of course. The second strongest girl in Japan could not afford to behave so girly. That was her beautiful best friend's department.

She was so glad Orihime's blossoming love was not unrequited.

And she thanked Orihime's Guardian Angel for looking out for her best friend.

She could hardly wait for the confession and the acceptance.
